can you debunk the rumor of april 17th or confirm?
I cannot debunk or confirm.

Blizzard did say they'd like to give us about a two month window before the release of D3. April 17 falls under a month and a half window - it's still a rumor so we don't know much about it until Blizzard makes a final announcement.

In other hot news:

on a scale of 1 to 10, (1=not even close, 10=imminent,) how close are we to that all important #D3 announcement? :)

It's the first company to make such a big thing out of announcing that they will make an announcement

Doesn't change the fact that the masters of announcements are Square-Enix :)

Tatsujin:
Seems like they're making Normal a little entertaining.

For BETA Patch 14:
Doubled monster damage from levels 1-13 (trailing off to level 20). Feels pretty good! Hopefully we can keep it.

Also,

Armor reduce ALL damage or only physical damage ? Thanks
All damage. There's a Physical Resist stat specifically for physical.

Havoc10K:
ALL DAMAGE ?

/facepalms

that's so stupid, we used to have magic resistances :P

Because then they'll have bosses that can 1 or 2 shot you with physical attacks if you don't raise that stat. As for Magic 1 or 2 shotters, ehhhh... I guess you'll be good with a nice set of armor.  :P

It says "all damage reduced by X%" when I highlight Damage Reduction. It decreases and increases by the amount of armor you have. There's also other Resistances to magic for Cold, Fire, Lightning, Poison and Arcane/Holy (both are linked together). I don't want to comment on this. It doesn't make a lot of sense from a game-point-of-view. It makes some sense if, for example, you take a direct damage from any magical damage with armor or without armor. Maybe they'll elaborate more on that or change it in the future.

Edit -- More interesting features:

Level by level the choices are only limited by your skill and runes; my monk will be identical to yours.
In the final version of the game you will have ample choices of personalization; there will be affixes and legendary items that will modify the effects and abilities of your character. Obviously those items can be found towards the end of the game, so they are not available in the current beta.

Items that modify spell effects? So are they really "rune skills" or do they just increase the damage, like Cleave can be modified to do 150% WD instead of 120%?
Yes, let's say that they are the new runes. The developers wanted to implement an alternative to the removal of quality levels of runes to customize the abilities of your character.

[...] I think you can wear those items, but I'm not sure and I have no further information at the moment; since the game is in beta, anything can change before the final release
