Wait, battle.net still working in Diablo2 ?

Thought it was completely killed in older games. It only works for warcraft and starcraft2 now.

Yeah!

Isn't it great? Here's the thing, what's to say Blizzard doesn't bastardize Diablo and make 5 expansion packs for the game just like another game that they own... and have something to do with Pandas...  ::)

They announced that they will have ANOTHER expansion after Mists of Pandaworld too!

Which further proves that Blizz should just make WoW F2P and make it's next title (Titan) F2P too! XD

Or at least make it like GW2 cause that one article from last year was right. SWTOR is the last great P2P game.

Yay for Farmville and Pokemon in WoW! Lol. Let's hope they don't bring these retarded features to Diablo 3.

Hey, maybe that Titan project is actually World of Diablo MMO :P

So what would have changed between World of Diablo and World of Warcraft ?
Nearly same classes, medieval world with demons, dragons, beasts and whatever.

I strongly believe Titan will be either something with Starcraft or Warcraft, If Starcraft it will not be an MMO, probably some shooter.
If Titan is related with Warcraft, then it will be a completely ovehauled WOW taking place in a whole new level, several dimensional realms, not just Azeroth and Outland but it will enter a whole new world, closer to Yogg Saron and Burning Legion. Simply continuing the conflict against the corruption and demon lords as well as Sargaras or what he was named.

technically, seeing how WoW is developing constantly on Azeroth in the past few years is just being boring. While Azeroth deals with Deathwing the Legion should have prepared massive invasion. What was seen last time would be seen as scouting party compared to the massive invading army ... LEGION of demons marching on Azeroth.

If there will be no development in that course, then WoW should really go F2P, cuz otherwise it would be incredibly boring. Just look what retarded things they did to PVE and PVP already to this day. It's all shit, I as a Shaman don't see a need to Lightning Bolt at all, because I can use Chain all teh time which is better in DPS :P I don't understand that change at all, earthquake should have stayed channeled, right now it's too much DPS, before it could have been used also as CC during combat, knocking down most of enemies or stunning then or even slowing them down. Most of the changes are silly, and even then this is just one class that's nearly broken.

If they do a Diobloworld, I hope no one buys it.

Honestly, I hope they do a steam-puke universe with Warhammer influences... THAT would be cool.

If it's made by Blizzard, people will buy it.

Okay, something new was released today. Keep in mind this is based on first characters that aren't fed gear and gold by your main characters and only applies to few difficulties (probably Normal, Nightmare and maybe Hell. Inferno is on a whole different scale).

In my experience recently, if you're in a party of two or three, by the end of normal difficulty, if one person strays from the group and a pack of champions comes along, it's fatal.

I'm guessing that it's a little less risky in a group of four, but even then, probably only for a few more levels.

I'm talking about first characters, of course. Characters that are being fed gear and gold by higher-level characters can probably get by without everyone sticking together for a bit farther into the game.

My current motto for group play in Diablo III is "divide and be conquered".

He means that if 1 person leaves group of 3, the 2 people left grouped together will still die if they encounter hard mobs. The single person doesn't stand a chance. If there's a group of 4 and 1 person leaves, the group of 3 still has a chance to survive.

This.

And again, we're talking about two things that vary a lot: the speed at which your specific party can deal with regular enemies, and the degree of uptick in difficulty when you go from regular enemies to champions. The variance is on the skill of the players, and the affixes on the enemies. I'd guess that in some cases, a group of three players (in a game of four, where the fourth is away) are going to get along just fine for pack after pack after pack, albeit much slower than if their comrade was with them. And in other cases, those three players are going to rapidly die to the first pack they encounter.

Why? The answer will be their gear, or their mix of chosen skills, or the fact that the game happened to roll a pack of champs with lightning creeping all over the area, etc. etc.

Sorta sounds like soloing is hampered, but I'm guessing the four man example is explicitly relying scaling (ie, don't play in a four person game if you aren't expecting four person difficulty.)

Sounds good. You should rely on your party to get things done.

I think we should be able to solo everything in Hell. Inferno is a different story. :P

If you are prepared properly, you should be able to solo inferno to some extent, but it should be a pain in the ass with a drill.

I ... feel ... very ... good ...

Inferno difficulty got bumped higher than average!

There are also more information on questions and answers. Everything is through the link.

Edit - I can understand how Blizzard made Inferno to be super-hard-mode, but this is insane stuff:

3) Hell is for Heroes, and Inferno is not a place I want to still be 'trying out' new skills. In Diablo 2 stuff would unlock at a reasonable rate, and by the end of normal you had your build and were just getting the extras. Under this system, it's entirely possible that you will be waiting until you have finished Hell to unlock the skill effect you want. I don't know about you, but by the time I hit Hell I really want to have my build down and be working on gear and technique.
It's weird how on one hand we're asked for limitations, add more limitations, we really want to be punished and forced to level new characters and just be beaten about the face and neck with punishing game mechanics... and then it almost feels like there's a fear that you won't have a perfect character to take on the challenging areas of the game.

You won't. You're going to die, a lot, and you're going to have a horrible character for quite a while. You're not going to hit 60 and finish the game on Inferno. You're going to be smashing your face against Act 1 Inferno for weeks. Perfecting your build before then will not matter.

I want to test their theory. I was estimating to have beating Act I in 3-4 days in Inferno, they claim it will take you weeks. I wonder about that. Is Act I that big? ... Nevermind, it is.

Gunna hold you to your word on this. Literally weeks before anyone in the world beats Act 1 Inferno.

Ok, ok, well I don't underestimate our players, potentially not weeks for Act 1. I'd bet on weeks for Act 2, though.

Ha ... he took it back. But he'll bet on Act II.

I was reading those blue posts earlier too. Interesting stuff I must say. I'll try a HC Hell character... but it just seems stoooopid to try it on Inferno on your first try (or maybe it's smart :P).

Anyways, I'm gonna do the normal thing. Go through the game on Normal with a Demon Hunter, Witch Doctor on Hell, then Wizard on Inferno (cause I like a challenge XD).

For Hardcore, it sounds more like you need to spend a great amount of time in Hell difficulty and acquire as much gear, gold and health potions as possible. When you hit Infrerno, you need to have like 3-5 of your skills being complete defensive/damage-reductions or defensive/tactical, and the rest tactical/offensive abilities. Your passives all need to be focused on pure defense/damage reductions. And ... good luck. I wonder how long would it take for the first person to beat Act II on Hardcore. Ha, hahaha.

That's why I would never try Inferno with a melee character. Yeah the Barb has nice defensive spells... but I don't want to risk getting one shot'ed. With a Wizard, I can just kite, cast spell, kite, cast spell, kite, cast spell.... etc.
