restetting new replies to your posts
« on: October 26, 2010, 11:51:37 AM »
I was wondering if the is any way to restet the new replies to your posts.  There are a few threads I am not interested in any more so I would like to know if there is any way to do this. If not it would be a handy function.

if i'm not completely off you should be able to display the notifications in the "Notifications and Email" sections of your profile settings and disable those you aren't interested in anymore.

Actually, I believe you can go to the thread you posted in, find one of your posts, click "modify," and then do nothing to the post, uncheck the "notify me of replies," and then save it. See if this works. You won't see the checkbox if you use the quick modify function (the little white icon that shows up on every post you've made).

Alternatively you can make a new post and uncheck the box from there, but if you aren't interested in the thread anymore you probably don't want to do that.

Edit: Yes, blubart is right, you can unsubscribe from there, I just checked.

I am actually talking about this tab right here

I have look through your suggestions and they all seem to be about e-mail notifications.  This isn't a major thing though.  Thanks for your help.

Oh, that. I don't use it, and I doubt many people do...

You can't unsubscribe from those topics, as you posted in them...
You can only mark topics/boards as read and they won't show up there until someone posts again...

That's like all I use, in combination with the "Show unread posts since last visit" it pretty much gives me every interesting thread.

I usually just open each topic I am interested in in new tabs and then hit the "mark all posts as read" button.
