Something better than Picasa? (but free)
« on: October 28, 2010, 04:22:37 PM »
Hey guys,

I haven't been on these forums in quite awhile, since my anime-watching has been in a lull.  But I didn't know anywhere else where I felt I could most likely get a fast response to a question about nerd-related stuff.

I recently got Picasa for organizing my photos (most of which are anime screenshots, game screenshots, etc.), but there is one major problem with Picasa:  It doesn't support sub-albums.

This really bothers me, as a neurotic, organization-obsessed person.  So, I was wondering if anyone knew of any online photo database sites that is (1)FREE, and (2)supports sub-albums / sub-folders.  The only thing I've seen so far is Flickr, which seems to have a lot of restrictions, and will delete your account if inactive for 30 days (which turns me off).  So, are there any other options for me?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks in advance!

I know photobucket has that support. It's pretty user friendly, but has some limits on space and bandwidth on the free option which is rather low (500mb upload space, 10gig bandwidth).

Try fastone image browser, it;s folder based but that's the way I organize anyway.

He's talking about Picasa web albums, not the actual Picasa application.
