Fable 3
« on: October 30, 2010, 10:03:55 AM »
What's peoples thoughts on this?

Am still not very far in since i try explore everything, and am talking to everyone...but it seems like it will be a lot better then Fable2. The Sanctuary is a pretty awesome idea as well to ditch menu's all together.

I just hope when i do get to the end, the final "battle" ain't as lame as Fable2...Fable1 (inc Lost Chapters) with Jack of Blades was so much better.

I've played F2 as well..
I was really hyped about F3.. Tho Since a few weeks ago I am doubting of buying it...
And also I've heard of the thing (Bug perhaps) that everyweapon is the same...
They look the same.
Sword/gun/axe/etc.
Even tho they said everything would change depending on how you use it.

But I'll just wait a few reviews and decide to buy it now or wait for the price drop O.o

I loved 2 tho, even tho it had it's flaws.

In the first one you were a hero running around doing stuff'n'junk, but in 3rd one you are a king who is just sitting on a throne all day? Sceptical.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

Oh, and you just have to love the platform inconsistency. First and third game were released for Xbox360 and PC, while the second one for some mysterious reason was released for xbox only.

Your brother has the throne, you run around doing stuff n' junk to gain allies and form a rebellion  :P you take the throne off him at some point....whether its at the very end of in the middle i don't know yet.

From a review I read, after you take the throne, you pretty much sit on it.

Seeing the gametrailers Review...
You have to make money and keep promises the 2nd part of the game....
As king -.-
Sounds boring

Am king now, you don't just sit on it...you do make a lot of decisions on things and decide whether to keep promises youv'e made, you can still go adventuring etc because your goal is to create an army to stop an invasion, and you need to amass 6.5million (if you play evil this seriously easy, if good its probably over 8million since your making decisions to benefit the people)

Overall though, this game is far better then the second, its v.good.

Not tryed co-op, ive got 6 people on my list with it but everyone is doing it solo first  :P

only bad thing about this game is it has to much detail, to the point where the xbox360 can't handle it, and sometimes you get abit of lag...

Hmm guess I should finish Fable 2, it just feels like work to play it. Naa I won't finish it, thus not getting number three either, even if the kingdom management sounds interesting.

Definitely plan on picking this up eventually. I never got around to buying the second one, but the first was a favorite. Should be interesting to see how it pans out in my view.

Can't wait for my PC copy to come in.

I guarantee that while the Xbox might lag my PC will not.

I wonder if me saying this every new fable game will become a trend, but: I HOPE IT'S LONGER THAN THE LAST GAME!

They all say open ended but never hold a candle to the elder scrolls series in that respect.

When life gives you lemons, you clone those lemons and make super lemons.

Any other game imo >_>
It's on a whole other level.....
Comparing Elder Scrolls to a lot of games is like.....
Comparing something delicious with.. Poop >_>
Atleast that is how I feel ^^;

Adjusted it to how I feel. :) Open games are most of the time games with wast open areas with nothing in them or recycled areas/enemies. I tend to grow bored very quickly in them, if I wanted to find something to do I would walk out my door. ^^

I know that feeling Sosseress, I think it would get better with much higher difficulty. What if every time you go out you are literally in a grave danger of the wildlife? What if the disable fast travel? Since the combat is FPS style, shouldn't there be more focus on different moves? (Deadly reflex mod is a good example).

To be honest Bethesda made good games, but there are still things that they are doing bad. And I don't even count animations, those are horrible.
