I cant seem to dload or seed..

ie file name ..  seed 0(33)  0(9)
utorent has a red down arrow in front of the name?

what does the above mean.?



iv not been on for some months, my share raido was bad, i could never donate(donatios closed), by the time id get a email(in the morning-australia) donations are closed..

not been able to fix ratio,, 6 monthsd ago other than seed  and some months ago hdd died (6 months ago) with all my downloads that i was seeding..

im a pensioner, so its taken my 6 months to get a hdd + change my adsl plan..

iv change my plan to a better adsl2 plan (old double dl/ 1/2 upload...then caped)  now seed option 250g peak/250goff peak (uploads contt towards dloadstoral peak/off peak..)

and iv got a new 2tb hdd..

i wanted to re-download stuff+ some of theh things lost, and new dloads, then long term seed to fix my ratio...or pay (donate) when i can afford to...

i can dload + seed from demiod.. but i having trouble here?

but nothing downloads from here? anymore.. and their is no readme(no mail in inbox?)

how to i fix my problem?

ratio 0.133  upload 17+g  dl 133g (from many months ago (6+)  all gone data.. cant seed..

I had a problem with my old plan is that i gould dload per month 50g, but only upload 25g before getting caped.. which screwd up my ratio.. but i have new plan as 3 ddays ago.. 250/250 (uploads cound as dl as well..

Fixing your ratio.

What torrent client are you using and its version? Or better yet. What is the error under the trackers tab when you select the torrent?

you could for example update or downgrade your torrent client to a version that is allowed. pretty easy concept, isn't it?

it wont auto update or manual update.. ill hafe to dload again.. installinhg it over a existing install, will it wipe my dl/seeds?

iv just updated to 2.04, its working, now i can redownload + long term seed (1 year asp hdd does not die) ill need to back it up off the 2tbhdd that i just got.. and the seed data

Don't count on donating.  If you happen to be able to make it, great, but it closes very quickly.

Donating used to be the best way to improve your ratio if you had some spare change, but now it is the worst way, unless you happen to be on BBT during the 10 or so minutes every 3 months that donations are open. Seedboxes are a better way to invest your time and money.

There's also no point in "[backing up uTorrent's data]." All you need are the torrent files and the downloaded files, and you can start seeding in a matter of seconds, assuming none of the files are corrupt.

There IS some point in backing up some of uTorrent's data; resume.dat and settings.dat, found in %AppData%\uTorrent
...they can sometimes get corrupted if the pc is shut down abruptly like when experiencing a BSOD, powerout etc, (the more active torrents, the more likely). Believe me, having either of those corrupted can be quite bothersome if you can't restore ...
(There's resume.dat.old too as uTorrent's own backup, but chances are it gets corrupted as well (happened) or is already invalid (happened) so once in a while I backup those two mentioned manually...)

No, really, please read it.

And search for "re-seeding." And if you want to know, "seedbox" and "adopt a torrent." The last two aren't relevant to you at all, though.

I don't see anything wrong with your settings. Wtih 3TB of data, though, you should probably be at constant maxed up speed.
