I tried Dungeon Fighter Online the other day and it looks kind of cool, though I haven't really played it that much yet.  It does annoy me that your system has to be in US English locale to play it though.  (I usually leave it in Japanese locale for VNs.)

Sweet jesus there is mugen online?! The fight between Beatrice and Rena was epic. I'll try this out and see how it goes.

Wah i just remembered that there is a anime version of dungeon fighter online, pretty nice too.

Dungeon fighter online was pretty great, it gets better the further you get.

You want to pick the show-off classes though, which tend to be magic based.

Played thru the whole game with a friend who picked a elementalist mage and I ran an Asura slayer (magic swordsman) and we could do just crazy shit,

(1. Make black hole to suck in enemies to dmg them (Mage)
(2. Use light magic to bind all enemies in place for a few seconds immediately after black hole ends (Asura)
(3. Call down a meteor and burst fire from the ground (Mage)
(4. Suspend all enemies in air around you and swirl orbs of death hitting enemies several times before exploding the orbs (Asura)

Highly recommend that game.

If you like DotA type games, I'd recommend League of Legends.

It's free to play, and it has a cool system where you can lvl up as you play games, and get access to special passives and active abilities to use on any hero, and it's remarkably well balanced.
