Asking for a quick RED X fix...
« on: November 06, 2010, 02:33:43 PM »
Here's my problem kind friends and fellow members.
I just did a bunch of routine maintenance and scans, you know, they typical scheduled routine and afterward I needed to do a complete reboot (I'm on a home net, with a little Blade Server).

After the reboot all but one of the files I was seeding went Red X and says Error: the torrent can't be opened. Before this usually only happened if all the torrents were running, but I noticed that if I stop them all before doing this, they would just go back to normal, when I hit the start button on the torrents. Also in the past, things that fixed this Red X, was "Forced re-check" or "Forced Start" or "Update Tracker". If none of those worked, I would just have to remove the torrent from the list, click DL, then it would just see I have it, by checking it and then start seeding again. The only problem is that I don't feel like removing 30 series and re-DLing them just to check them and start seeding them again. Is there any way to get around that just to restart the Red X's without having to go through that somewhat long process I described? I mean all the files are still in the same place, unchanged from the original DL and Seed.

So any ideas?

Red X errors are errors that occur on your computer.

The error given is "Torrent cannot be opened". That means that either you moved the .TORRENT files or deleted them from the uTorrent AppData directory or some security settings were modified that prevents uTorrent from opening the .TORRENT files.

Yeah, I have security up the wazoo, it says something about my firewall. I think I have to remove them from the Client and just click on the DL here, to just check them and start them seeding again, cuz like I said, they haven't been moved or changed in any way. Oh well, guess I'll just do it manually, but THNX anyway. I was hoping there was some option in some menu that I wasn't aware of, that would just restart those like the re-check or update has in the past. :D
