My mom wants a cat... and we have two pet rabbits. Anyone else think this is a recipe for a tragedy?

My westie used to play very gently with my brother's pet rabbit.  Then he'd go slaughter the wild ones and eat their babies.

Due to allergies I've never had a cat for very long, but I'd like to.  I have a significant preference for dogs, though, so it's alright.

Tabby dog, the showed-up-under-the-grill-during-a-thunderstorm mutt.  She's a lot more fun than any cat older than 6 months.

Actually this happened at my house when I was a kid, we had a rabbit that we let out of it's cage, and then some years later bought a couple full grown cats. The rabbit was somewhat territorial of pretty much everything, and would randomly start chasing the cats, once I even saw it jump off a ledge and almost land on one. Traumatized my poor little kitties for life.

It was like the reincarnation of the rabbit in Monty Python. It was evil!

We had a cat once. it hung out at our local shop, and we decided to take it home. Well, it got sick (bad stomach), and lost a nail or something so we sold it. My mom and I both have allergy so not really sure how we dealt with that while having the little thing in our house. We had it for about 3-4 months or so.

^^ nay. It depends on how you rise your kitten. Cats are not evil. My is insane and loud as hell, but she is not evil she is really sweet and always wants someone attention and ....well I can do what ever I want to her...thou she does purr to loud....

This Japanese girl has like 600+ videos of her cats. She loves them. I watch them. She replies nearly to everyone.

They are both sinister cats and relatively loud when they want to be. Plus they love attention which is why they arent allowed in my room at night.

This is the last of our feline residents, Geoffrey, though my family have had cats longer than children.

I don't think there's much of an argument about them being at least semi-evil though. They're devious little bastards at the best of times, but we still love them.
