Too late.
http://www.runningwithscissors.com/supreme-court-vs-postalI do wonder, is that the reason why RWS are developing with Akella (Russian video game developer)? Because it means that even if neo-cons shut down the production in US, it will be developed in Russia and sold internationally.
It's quite funny really, as an example we have Crytek that made Farcry and Crysis games. Their HQ is based in Germany and by German law they are not allowed to make videogames where you can shoot dead bodies. (thus in Crysis once an enemy is dead, his body does not interact with the world any more). However if they would choose to move the production to another country or even better, move their HQ to let's say... Netherlands, then they could make the game into the gore-fest if they wanted.
USA, not being a unitary country gives a similar possibilities to the developers. For example even when the Terminator in California passed laws that would make M rated games illegal to sell to minors, it wouldn't mean anything to RWS which are based in Arizona.
/legal rant
Now one thing I want to say about Postal 2 gameplay and why neo-cons that are bashing it picked a wrong game to bash.
1. You can complete an entire game without killing a single person.
2. Your missions are harmless: Buy some milk, vote, make a confession, get your paycheck from work, etc...
3. If you look deep enough into the content, the game is based around taboos, have a satirical views on modern society and challenges the political correctness of our society.
That last part is what most likely ticked off some neo-cons I believe. If anything they chould continue making the game for that purpose alone. I just hope that the third game will feature that dark humour and not just be a senseless gore game like manhunter games. That is also what I am worried about, if Russians make the setting and plot, then they can miss the sarcastic view on western society.
