It's not a true hologram but merely a projection against a glass wallso technically she is 2d, still very impressive though. I'm more impressed by the vocaloid software used to create her voice as it creates alot of interesting possibilities for the future seeing as anyone can purchase this and effectively make their own vocals using any voice sample... alot of people seem aposed to this kind of "fake" concert but I would check it out for sure.

Wut!!! How can you tell?

theres alot of articles on the net about the technology they are using. we are still years from a true 3d hologram but this tech looks great

you can actually create a perfectly solid hologram without any electricity. . . and Im talking amazingly solid!

I saw it on a science fair a while back. . .its like. . .amm say 2 cereal bowls but one of them has a hole and you put them one on top of th eother so they form like a sphere. . .but on the inside they are made of mirror thingy.
so you have something like this:

/     \
\___/
where the top is a hole. . .
so you put whatever (in this case it was a coin) inside the bowl and a projection appears on top of the hole. . .and I mean like perfectly solid

pretty cool.
now try to emulate that with technology. . .good luck :)

. . .
oh here we go

In case anyone misses the giveaway here, you can notice the reflection of the light sticks of the audience at said glass screen on the stage.

Look above Miku. You can see the top of the screen there.
I must say that it really looks amazing. I first thought it was real because of the title of this thread lol but when I saw the screen I was disappoint. But still it's amazing.

It's still a pseudo-3D Miku on stage, so it's awesome. I bet the audience was going insane when they saw Miku dressed in a swimsuit :P You can tell that it's quite 3D when the camera is filming miku from a non-perpendicular angle, she does not look very flat/distorted :P

My reaction when I dl'd and saw this on my big-ass plasma in 1080p:

(click to show/hide)
DEATH BY MIKU CUTENESS OVERDOSE

also, somebody fix the thread title, Miku's name is written wrong :(

In all fairness, the band was very good too... but they remain unloved :'(

also, SO MANY GLOWSTICKS
There must a be a reason for tanking things. And all must be in certain balance.
But what that balance is, must depend only on you, nobody else.

For those who are searching for it, go to TT and search under the name "Otakixus Miku" and you should see the first link. Enjoy.

yeah in the film there are times where the 3d effect is lost when the camera pans to different angles but as far as I understand it's set up so everyone in the crowd is in front of her and looking up at the stage so I imagine it looks even more realistic in person provided you aren't too close to the stage.

It's pretty clear that it's a projection on this screenshot.

I must admit it looks awesome. In a few years with some improvements it might even (hopefully) replace some of those useless can't sing/can't play/can't write/tonedeaf/autotuned poptards. (knowing it's not real >>> 99% fake)

It can be seen when they take shots from behind the band, Miku is facing camera all the time - at same time when she is faced to people. But still it's realy cool :P like Gorillaz concert ;P haha
Was fun to watch but it wouldnt be fun to be there O.o - for me ;p

Now, I know that isn't the real Hatsune Miku, but it's a darn fine piece of cosplay.

The girl is pretty too, which helps a lot.

Good cosplay - yes
cute gril - not realy ;)

You know, those type of girls dont exist, you can copy cat it on cosplay but the ART of the real Miku wont be the same.
It's like Simpsons, did you watch the episode when Homer enter 3D dimension ? it sux, did you watch yt chan where some dude made simpsons rl? they sux

They way Miku is draw wont be the same as cosplay. Sure there are realy hot cosplay girls out there but i think you got my idea.

thank you :)
thats my point exactly. . .someone can just use her clothes but it wont look as cute.
plus that hair. . .uh-oh
it looks weird with just 1 spike in the middle. . .they should just let it loose and long and tinted. . .doesnt need to be in the exact fixed position as miku's
