*facepalm* I dont know how often I have to repeat myself. Just saying 'a sandisk' or a 'kingston' doesn't help at all. Thats the problem with most forums where i see topics like these. There are a lot of different sandisk and kingston models, you need to be specific
@fohfoh. from what i can gather the people who said their kingstons work were probably using the old datatraveler.. 100 line i think (g2) So that fits in line with your guess. Tnx for the info
@logos mini attatche eh? i was thinking of the regular one instead. Im not sure. You say its slow but did it pass the performance test when you configured it, or give you a performance test fail message? It sounds like a PNY may be my best bet but i gotta lock down what type

I don't know what you mean by performance test, also I've never 'configured' it, I just plug shit in and it works, also by slow I mean when I select my usb to listen to the music it just takes longer than I'd expect for it to read, movies/not very much music is fine, but I do have like 2 gb of music on the thing...

When I say classic data traveler, it's the one with the metal piece on the side and not the ones that are pure plastic nowadays. (Number series, G3 or whatever). I haven't been able to locate any differentiating number/name for it.
G2 is a possible guess.
I do have a 16GB "G2" at home I need to wipe anyways. (Turned it into an USB "CD" installer for ubuntu). I probably could test it out sometime this weekend when I get the chance.
I've never really been impressed by the performance of the mini attache even on a computer.
But I concur. I usually just plug and play.

ah i missed the part of you playing music and movies only. Im refering to using it to actually save games and stuff on the 360. That requires a special format on the 360 for their stupid proprietary file system thing. So you were just using it like a regular usb stick which wasn't what i needed, my bad i misunderstood your post.
@fohfoh you mean yours looks like the 100/g2 line at the top here right:

ya since you gotta reformat it i would be much obliged if you could give it a quick test on the 360 first and let me know if it passes performance tests
