Not exactly what you were asking about, but still full of awesome and win. ;)
[ EDIT: I mean ... c'mon ... just how many snipers can recover from a direct hit from a wave motion cannon ..? ]

The Ships design is kindof flawed.
The main batteries are right infront of the control tower, giving it a blindspot right behind the control tower.
Second flaw would be the bottom, no main batteries there aswell to the sides. Spacefights are no longer only the danger from a horizontal plane.
Third flaw would be the useless space infront of the ship, there are no turret mounts nor (visible) Launchers or any version thereof. It does not seem to be some kind of Fighter/MS launching or recovery pad either.
Fourth Flaw would be the control tower itself actually. Theres no longer need to put the (commanding)crew in such a position where they are way more vulnerable then were they in the middle of the ship. Obviously it is way harder to keep all those jagged edges good together and well armored when it comes under fire.

It's modeled after IJN Yamato and Musashi, its not meant to be realistic.
One of the best ships of her time, though I'm partial to the Bismarck, with her faster speed and RADAR.

Not a ship to dis, bro.
Besides: look more closely: there is a motherfucker of a set of rear-facing batteries, which swivel and orient very, very flexibly, as do the front ... no blind spots there. Yamato has its ass covered. And, the front 2/3's of the ship is largely hollow to accommodate it's real main gun, which vaporizes planets. This ship's main vulnerability is approximately a 30° wedge directly vertical "up" its keel, but it can roll and yaw impressively; there are substantial side-facing batteries, and a small fleet of local fighter craft on board.
I'll grant you point #4, but control towers are awesome. You're batting @25%, which means you're space vapor. ;)
Besides, with one of these in my pocket, the bulge in my shorts should make any Norwegian snipers shit themselves too hard to get an accurate shot at me ...
