BakaBT > Need Help? Ask Here
Wuh-oh. I'm about to land myself in a hole here.
Fuyumi-Aya:
Okay, I did read the Wiki, and people are going to tell me I lied or something, but oh well. I probably missed it.
Okay, downloading a few things, yes.
Due to my very very very slow internet, i think I might have a chance to.. well.. not kill myself here.
Here's the deal: I have inactive downloads. Could I just simply delete/pause these downloads so they don't add to my ratio right now?
picture:
They are at 0% so I guess they haven't register with bakaBT.
Can I avoid getting my ratio worse?
kurandoinu:
You've only downloaded 8mb so far. Whats your problem? :S
Scudworth:
Preventative medicine perhaps?
I'm not sure why OP is nervous but the answer is yes. If later on you're worried about your ratio and you have multiple torrents downloading, you can pause or stop an in-transfer torrent and it will not continue to increase your ratio until you resume downloading it.
I believe this is what you were wondering about (not sure though).

paranoia.
Also, 8MB of direct downloading takes me almost twenty minutes. x.x

the proper medication would be a placebo in that case, no?
ok, here it goes:
i personally have set your account up so every torrent that is listed in your inactive category doesn't make your ratio any worse. consider it a personal favor. ;)
Have fun on BakaBT!
for real:
there is no problem with stuff idling around in your inactive tab - only data you actually download (with your torrent client) is counted towards your ratio. and before you've downloaded ~25gb we won't warn you even if your ratio is terrible.
