Thats the whole point. Why complain about hunting endangered animals when there is a plethora of games where you shoot and kill humans seemingly just for fun, such as GTA. Or movies for that matter.
Its just a form of entertainment, its not real.

Once again did you even read what i wrote ?!?!?!
At no time did i say i have any problem with it. I just think its crazy from a PR perspective.
The point is that Lexus do no sponsor you to drive around GTA wiping out bystanders ... because its bad PR.

Did you even read my post? I never said anything about YOU. I said "why complain" as in why would anyone. That is the second time in 3 posts that you have accused someone of singling you out when they never even said anything about you, only stated an opinion on the matter that YOU brought up. No one has even mentioned you, much less accused you of anything.
Settle the fuck down.
I am not even gonna justify this idiocy with a bump, just gonna add on a previous post.

Well lets take a look, shall we?

2 people said they dont see a problem with it, 2 times you accused them of not reading your post / putting words in your mouth.
Do I need to spell it out for you? I dont see the problem so obviously I could care less about your perceived possible PR issue. I am sure somewhere some retarded group of people will have a fit, but over all it just isnt something worth taking into consideration. I dont know what the hell you are driving at by reiterating your standpoint to every response that is made. I know you are saying Remington is backing the game, but that doesn't automatically mean we are all gonna agree that its some sort of horrible PR decision. I actually think Remington backing the game will be more profitable alone then whatever a group of nuts complaining about endangered species could possibly detract from sales.
I wish I never joined this thread. Some people just cant be talked to.

No your the one who needs to fuckin' settle down as i responded entirely to the content of your post, when did i accuse anyone of singling anyone out.
What i did is point out that judging from what your post, you had misinterpreted my area of concern.
Its not about anyone complaining ........ its about what it does for the companies image ... doh
Maybe it too nuanced an point for you, or maybe you don't understand how PR and corporate image work.

What you aren't getting is that it's a gun company. Do you think the people who buy guns care about this? It's not bad PR because their is nothing negative about it to their image. Guns kill, that's the whole point.

Ah nice ...... at least now we are discussing the issues.
Yeah i know what your saying, but even gun companies ( who i have no personal issues with at all ) have a public image.
Thats why armalite, Fabrique Nationale, or enfield do not sponsor FPS games.
According to the logic of you two guys ....... why wouldn't they ???
Because its not good PR and PR extends beyond your customer and user base.
Probably the reason am so horrified is that i have a distant background in PR & Marketing, and am certain that non of the old companies i used to freelance for would have encouraged a move like this.
So let just be clear i have no issue with gun companies or hunting ....... hell i grew up in a rural area in the 70s and used to have summer job shooting rabbits for a farmer at one time.
It just seems crazy thing to do from a PR stand point as the hunting of endangered species does put the whole thing on slightly different level. God i know some greenies who would probably pass out if i told them about this.

lol ..... did you read what i wrote ..... am not critical of the idea ...... i don't actually give a fuck.
Just seems a dubious decision from a PR stand point.
As in this game you hunt ENDANGERED species, the hunting of which is outlawed via international treaty.

i fail to see how its a PR blunder its a gun company wtf do they care what douchebags who wouldnt be using their product anyway would care about them.
While some gun companies dont sponsor and support FPS games others allow them to use gun models and things in the game and have no problem with it.
If that wasnt the case you wouldnt see the real guns in the game with names you can literally google and pull up the gun.
