The commend line for installing the proprietary version of Sun:
sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-6-sun
Notice it's not
sudo update-java-alternatives -s java-6-Oracle
The program to start Java's applets is then referred as "Sun Java 6 runtime"
I don't care if Oracle bought Sun. Their proprietary version is still referred as Sun Java pretty much everywhere including in their own documentation.
Edit: Bah you can make my name shorter if you want to. But I'm more used to Kami (from Kamizushi)
