anime computer mod?

sooo ... my friend has this thing on his computer and i was wondering if anybody knows what its called or anything cuz he wont tell me and i cant seem to find anything after a bit of searching google

its this anime girl thing ... its just some random anime girl and she walks and moves around his desktop and sais things if he clicks her or does anything when he opens a folder on his desktop she said something like "so re na ni" (whats that) [i believe thats right] and she can like hide behind his folders and look around them like she actually lives in the computer and can interact with folders and windows on his monitor its totally fricken awsome ... he said he found it but wont give me the fine and said to figure it out myself or get someone els ... he is just being an ass

so does anyone know?

They're desktop pets, plenty of them flouting around (quick google on xxx desktop pet can usually get a download link if it exists) - but if you want to get the one your friend has you're going to need to describe it in more detail.

his was a highschool anime girl ... i dont know of any series but ... normal school uniform and blue hair .... was not chibi like ur video .... ummm idk how els to describe it it came up when he started computer ... its head showed on the left side of monitor with hands showing like she was peeking around a wall or something ... super cute lol ... then it just moved around and walked up and down on the monitor ... OH IT SAT ON AN ICON THAT WAS COOL lol yaknow how when u click on an icon theres like a blue box around it? she sat on that outline of the icon .. not the icon itself but the blue outilne part the

Desktop mascots. They're just decoration, most can only just sit (with some simple animations and sounds, if enabled). But there are some that walk around and jump or whatever.

I used to have a desk top parrot(or some other bird) that had it's own "free will"
He would fly around and perch on icons or open folders, scoop fish out of the bottom task bar. and sometimes squak at me.

I never thought of finding an anime girl with good AI but now I want one.

I've seen a Vocaloid pack while I was looking for more Shimeji stuff. If I can find it again, I'll edit this and post it.

On a side note, I found an "Abby" one, as in Abby from NCIS. Looks cute and I'll probably set that up tomorrow/later.

Not a whole heck of a lot.

There are two versions, an executable file and a java file.

I've ended up running the Java version and it doesn't seem to use a lot of ram at all. *goes to run Shimeji to check.

Well, it uses about 122,000kb - 123,000kb and 3% to 4% cpu.... that is the java version with TEN Abby's (from NCIS) running around.

12 mb is good, almost a drop in a bucket for most people.
