Is possible to include exsiting trackers in a new torrent??
« on: December 04, 2010, 02:56:43 PM »
hmmm, long shot this!

I wish to add an existing torrent to a new tracker? rather than the oposite aha

Im seeding some shin chan raws [Best]クレヨンしんちゃん DVD TV版傑作選 [1~5]/[6~10]/[11~15]
for a long time now, but my blazing 45kb/s upload is a joke....

I want to add the torrents to popular trackers as im getting just hit and run @_@, in the hope to gain some help aha
But i want to keep the fue other peers on there too to help too...

so can i make a new torrent with other trackers already in it so if ppl download or re-download there will be the existing peers?!
I realy dont think this can be done?! @_@ haha

idk if i explained this well  :/ or is it simply easier to post the other tracker links in the torrent description in the hope ppl will add them also?!

thnanks !

Adding more trackers is only sensible if they're public trackers.

Since we're not fully public we can't help.

Why not just submit the torrent to other public trackers?

Yes.  .torrents can contain any number of trackers.  When I upload .torrents to Nyaa, I include both their ratioless tracker and OpenBitTorrent.

isoHunt is an aggregator - they grab .torrents from other sites, find duplicates, and mash them all into one, with all the trackers.

If you just want the torrent to gain some visibility, you're best off just submitting it to TT.

Isohunt had a tracker, probably still has one as well. What you most often want to do is create your torrent. Add several trackers, then submit them to the sites you want then on. Link one of those you uploaded to TT.

To the OP;

Copy the download link for it from isohunt, go to torrenteditor.com, and paste it into the url prompt.
Make sure you have all the trackers you want to use at hand (which obviously you get from each tracker's upload page) and past them in the tracker prompt.
Verify the changes and download it.

Now simply upload it to the trackers in question; aside from adding trackers, nothing changed (unless you foolishly changed something else?) so the hash stays the same, meaning those using the .torrent will share the original swarm of the one on isohunt.

Ehhhhh.... *not having fun >.>*

Thanks for the replies, so ! -

Blanch, I tried using torrent editor, it just churns out a different hash everytrime, even if i just load the torrent,
(from url and/or my own .torrent) and press 'update' even without making any changes, it gives a different hash @_@??

I tried manually edditing in the trackers like Sosseres suguessted but when submitting it dosent pick up the old pool idk why,
assuming its changing the hash? I tried with edit the old torrent and creatin an identical one with new trackers, and ended up just seeding the new one from scratch @_@

I have the old and my new torrent both running and the trackers are identical, so the hash changed somewhere, but I cant seem to
keep the old hash when updating the trackers :/

It would be realy usefull to have the old peers when uploading the next one!! any help is appriciated,

I tried several times and tripple checked everyting along the way !!

***** If i put the old torrent URL (from where i originaly got it) here (see below) will it automagically update it with nyaas ratioless tracker
and be good to go with existing peers? becasue it sounds way to conveinient to work ahahahah XD

I dont feel like submitting any more fail torrents tbh :/

The below technique only seems to work on sukebei.Nyaa, just links to not automagicaly includes the tracker wtf?!
I feel like such a torren'tard right now :/

tl;dr- im trying to uplaod an old torrent to new trackers and keeping the old peers... how?! >.<

I'm pretty certain you can't. Not without requiring the old peers to redownload the torrent.

you can manually add trackers using utorrent and vuze. I dunno about other clients, have not tried others.
