Ko-chan is dead flat, I doubt she needs a bra XD
but yeah, it is possible :D
Still, Voice actors did an awesome work in this one :D

Yeah, the voices actors were quite good. Actually the voice actors in most (read as 99.99%) of the anime I've seen have been good.

Ko-chan is still cute tho. DFC ftw yes?

Like I said in the other post, I'm hoping 'B gata H kei' has an actual story line, but it doesn't matter if it doesn't.
I plan on watching 'The Wall Flower' after that.
At 25 episodes, it had better have a halfway decent storyline to it or it just isn't going to make it.

Edit: notice I changed the title of the thread a tiny bit?

I did :)
B Gata H Kei has a story, straight and forward, and funny as hell too, watch the uncensored version, it is worth it, rarely the Japanese draw such a nice body :)

No wonder Yamada is so popular, she deserves all that popularity :)

I don't know if I have the uncensored version or not.
I have the UTW version.

Checked Baka for another version in the middle of typing this and darn me if there wasn't the Blu-Ray up there.
I'm getting that down now, it's only not even 1Gig bigger than the version I have now, plus it has a pretty big number of seeders so, it should come down really fast.
Hopefully the Blu-Ray will be the so called 'uncensored' version people talk about.

It is, and it is worth the watch :0 there still will be some censoring, but the way they DO censor some stuff is very funny :D
It's the reason why no one actually rage about censoring :D

Just finished watching "B Gata H Kei".

It's worth getting hold of the DVD version of this, it's only a tiny bit bigger as far as the torrent is concerned and the quality is very good.
It's also uncensored, not that there is much to be censored anyway.

There is boing and a small amount of pantsu, a bit of nudity, but nothing out of place or happening at strange or random times like some anime.

With that out of the way, lets meet the characters!

Yamada! Our heroine. She has one thing on her mind.....SEX! Or to be more precise, she is a virgin and doesn't want to be. Wants to have 100 'sex friends' by the end of high school. Also has an overactive imagination and that turns everything into a sexual situation in her mind.

Kosuda. Our hero and the guy Yamada sets her sights on as her first conquest. If he had special powers, he would be a super hero, Kosuda is the 'ordinary' guy that the girls overlook, not ugly, but not handsome, he doesn't really stand out.

Mayu. Kosuda's 'child hood friend', she still lives right across the street from him and their families often take vacations together. You do know what 'child hood friend' means, don't you? Right.

Takeshita. Yamada's best friend. She is long suffering and trying her very best to support Yamada in her conquest of Kosuda, but she gets frustrated with Yamada asking certain questions in embarrasing places.
She has an older boyfriend, possibly a College student, named Daisuke, who befriends Kosuda and gives him advice.

Kyouka. Yamada's rival. She has a serious thing for her brother, to the point where she has a 'Brother Room' filled with images and other things of her brother, much to her housekeepers distress.

Chika. Yamada's little sister. She joins Yamada in high school about halfway through the anime and fills the roll of 'too cute younger sister' extremely well. Seems to be capable of attracting boys from great distances.

This anime is funny, but there is a serious story behind it.

It's a story about a girl (Yamada), whose initial intention is to have 100 'sex friends' before her high school life finishes.
She finds a guy (Kosuda), and decides he is the one she is going to start with.

Yamada discovers that having sex isn't as easy as it seems and there are many trials to overcome along the way, much to Kosuda's confusion.

Every episode has some laughs and we find out that Yamada seems to have only one thing on her mind at all times and you can guess what that is.
We also discover that Yamada, while she appears confident, suddenly 'freezes' at certain points, not knowing where to go from there.
The same can be said for Kosuda.

The interaction between Yamada and Kosuda almost had me yelling at the screen at times.

Eventually, they get up the courage to go 'all the way', but something has it in for them and it never happens, although they get close a couple of times.

The characters are all well drawn and it seems special attention was paid when drawing Yamada at certain times.

For me though, the hottest character was the teacher, Akai-Sensei, who didn't get as much screen time as I would have liked, but then I'm into 'older' women anyhow.

In the end, this anime is really all about 'the first time' and what a struggle it can be for the parties involved.

Is this worth watching?
YES!

I'm hoping there is going to be a second season, we are sort of left hanging at the end of this one, although the ending is good.

Next up is 'Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge' (The Wallflower)(Perfect Girl Evolution), it's 25 episodes, so the next review may be a little while getting here.  8)

Note: Sometimes writing a review can be HARD! I sort of got 'writers block' in the middle of this one, I got to a certain point and got stuck for what to write next.

edit: Proper name of next anime added. It's too darn long to fit in my siggy, I ran out of letters!
edit2: beep. fixed mistake in post. Wallflower is only 25 episodes. I must be thinking about Gurran Lagan, which I must try to watch soon. *hides.

The funniest scene I think was when she was walking all day without panties and while she was careful no one noticed, but by the time she dropped her guard Kosuda enters the Library and the wind blows showing all her cherry XDD I laughed so hard on that scene :D

There are a lot of lulzy moments in this show, Also Takeshita lost her virginity already :D which frustrates Yamada even more, and Takeshita is trying hard to make Yamada to simply get a boyfriend and be happy, instead of helping her with her dubious conquest :D

B Gata H Kei was garbage. A whole series about a girl trying to be a slut. I dont care that she never pulled it off and fell in love or whatever. Her mindset alone was enough for me to dislike the whole show.
That said, I did finish it, but I still dont like it.

Yeah, that was pretty funny, but I think it was funnier her thinking 'why didn't I wear panties TO school and then take them off', just as she was getting to school.

Also, the way they kept breaking the '4th wall' or talking to the audience was interesting in places.

@ Soryon, good to see someone that has a different opinion to me about an anime posting here.

I can see where you get the 'slut' thing from and I'm ok with that.
Actually, it doesn't matter if I'm ok with that or not, you are entitled to your own opinion.  8)

@ Everyone, Seriously, if you think I've got it wrong or I have missed something that is glaringly obvious, say so, it's all good.

edit: added Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann to the the list in the OP. One of these days that OP is going to tell me 'no can do' because it's too big.

It shouldn't be a problem, I haven't watched any Mecha based anime for a while and from what I've read, Gurren Lagann is one of the better Mecha anime out there, but you will eventually hear my opinion on that. ::)

On another front, I had a look through my torrent folder and it seems that I have watched almost everything in it.

The anime that are left in the list are pretty much it, except for some movies (non-anime) that I haven't gotten around to watching yet.

It might be time to start getting down some of the anime that has been recommended to me, I sort of have a list of it around here somewhere.

to spoil you a bit it's easy to survive TTGL. size is not the point here. * looks at Yoko
it can roughly be divided into 4 arcs. if you watch it and take a break inbetween it'd be easier.

1. typical super robot.
2. rebellion with ships/robots.
3. internal/emotional conflict.
4. space combat with robot/ship.

So....

I'm four episodes into "The Wallflower" and it's not what I expected.....but it sort of is as well.

I know that doesn't make sense, but there you have it.

So far we have four *very* pretty boys, so pretty in fact that they could almost be called 'beautiful', a rich, eccentric Aunty that keeps popping in and out, a pretty girl, 4 weird (very weird)girls and last, but not least our heroine, Sunako.

Sunako has a serious self esteem problem.... she doesn't have any, at least not since a boy rejected her two years ago, with the words "I don't have time for ugly girls".
Her Aunty has decided to 'help' her out and has handed the task of turning her into an 'Elegant Lady' to the four boys.

After watching four episodes, the only real reason I'm going to keep watching this at the moment is to see how it ends up.

So far, it's really a bit of farce. It's also reasonably funny. It won't have you rolling around on the floor, but most people will get some sort of a laugh out of it.

In just four episodes, we have met possibly all of the main characters, which is fairly normal I guess, discovered that they are all high school students and shock horror gasp, they all go to the same school.
Also, one of the boys has been kidnapped and rescued (three of the boys cross dress in order to do the rescue), we find out that Sunako is seemingly skilled in several forms of martial arts and they have had a 'culture festival' as well. In FOUR episodes.

We also see that mysterious skill that some characters have, of being able to pull amusingly large weapons of various sorts from somewhere at a moments notice.
Chainsaw with what looks like a six foot blade anyone?

To top it off, you know how it's usually the guys who get nosebleeds?
This time it's the girls or to be more precise, Sunako, whenever one of the boys touches her in any way.

I should mention that Sunako isn't ugly, although she isn't "OMG Beautiful". This is one of the things you find out in the first couple of episodes.

It's a little bizarre really, but typing this 4 episode review has helped me sort it out in my head a little. BONUS!

More on this at point later in time.

Meh.... ok, we get the idea that Havoc10k doesn't like mecha anime. Isn't there another thread that is already handling this subject anyway?
I don't want the mods to have to step in and clean the thread!  :o

So, I've just finished watching "The Wallflower", so to quote 'The Joker', "Annnnnd here we go!"

The main characters in Wallflower are;

Sunako, a girl who has self esteem issues, is heavily into horror, splatter and similar movies/games/books and has a collection of human biology manikins, chief of which is Hiroshi (sp?).

Ranmaru, He is a 'ladies' man and is quite proud of the fact. He has reddish brown hair.

Takenaga, He is a little shy, but still able to put the moves on a girl he likes. He has black hair.

Yukinojou, This guy is shy, a little on the short side and has big eyes. He has blonde hair. Is forced into situations where he ends up cross dressing.

Kyouhei, He is almost the main character of the series. He's loud, in your face and seems to care mostly for himself. Loves to eat.

As noted in a previous post, the story for "The Wallflower" goes something like this;

Four *very* pretty boys (they even 'sparkle') all live in a large mansion owned by a lady they call their 'Aunty', even though they aren't related to her.
Aunty is in fact their landlord and she is an attractive landlord indeed. She is also slightly eccentric.

She makes a deal with the four boys to turn her niece, Sunako, into a 'Elegant Lady'.
If they succeed, in return they will get to live rent free, however if they fail, their rent will triple.

What she doesn't say, is that Sunako has some serious self esteem problems..... she doesn't have any. This is due to being rejected by a boy with the words "I don't like ugly girls".

Our heros first meeting with Sunako is somewhat comical, with Yuki sensing 'something' in the hedge.....
This something turns out to be Sunako, who is spying on them.

As the anime moves along, we discover that Sunako is the 'perfect housewife'.
She can cook, clean and look after the house with the best of them, but she is a bit of a 'shut in' and likes her own company.
We also discover that Sunako has an almost morbid liking for anatomical dummies, to the point where she has a small collection of them, along with 'specimens' in jars.
Sunako also finds things like blood, skeletons and other similar things extremely enticing and can be obsessive in her pursuit of them.

Sunako refers to the boys as 'creatures of light' and tends to have nosebleeds if she gets too close to them or is held/touched by them.

Eventually Sunako makes friends with a girl called Noi, who has a major crush on Takenaga, who eventually returns her affections, to Noi's delight.

There are two 'groups' of girls at the high school that appear from time to time.
They are;

The 'Goth Girls' and 'The Spray tan girls'.

The 'Spray Tan Girls' and you will figure out why I call them that almost immediately, don't get a lot of screen time. They are your typical bullies and because Sunako lives with the 'four princes' she is a target for them.

The 'Goth Girls', four girls who are self styled 'Goth' girls and dress the same, are rabid fan-girls of the 'four princes' and get a lot more screen time than they really deserve.

There are a number of 'kidnappings' that happen in this anime.

Hiroshi, Sunako's favorite anatomical mannikin, gets 'kidnapped' TWICE during the anime and one of the boys also gets kidnapped.

The Wallflower is a comedy/drama (in my opinion) and is the closest thing to a western style cartoon that I have ever seen in anime.

Sunako spends 90% of her time in 'chibi' form, only changing to 'normal' when she is doing something serious, like laying waste to everyone in the immediate area when she is annoyed.

There are many, many comical situations, I'm not going to say you will laugh a lot, but you will find something to laugh at.

In each episode there is also a thing called 'The Road to Womanhood', which in most cases contain mostly useful tips on various things.

The Wallflower is a little funny, as in funny peculiar for the most part, with a lot of it being quite 'over the top'.

edit: Added some stuff and moved some words around a bit. May add more stuff later as and if it comes to mind.

Going to watch Gurren Lagann next.

so in overall, it's a serious drama comedy, with a pinch of soft cream to make it less serious and more fluffy right where it needs to be, and a slap of water flat hand where it is required ?

It's hard to put it into a category really.

Yes, it has Drama, but some of it is so over the top it's rediculous and yes, it has comedy, but I didn't find it LOL funny, although other people might.

The 'cover' of the anime shown on AniDB is almost a lie, although the boys are mostly drawn that way.

I forgot to mention that Sunako has the most beautiful eyes, they are lavender!

Sometimes a anime is difficult to do a review on, this is one of those.
It's a little frustrating when I watch an anime like this, it basically doesn't really have much of storyline, more like an idea they are writing around more than anything else.

Oooh! Remembered something I should add.
