use mkvmerge GUI, open the file with it, and go to the subs file, then just set as default=yes instead of just default=default, the subs will be forced to be out, you can also kick out the english audio track if you want to, then just save the file wherever you want and profit.

Thank you!

Decided that I'm going to try something a little different with the reviews.

The plan is too watch 4 episodes of an anime, then do a review on those 4 episodes in Notepad or whatever, then watch the next 4 etc etc.

It might make for a better review, but it might not. It's going to be fun finding out!

Edit: changed my mind. Going to do the review the normal way, by the seat of my pants, just like the others.

I've seen something in these last few episodes that doesn't look good for a 'happily ever after' ending, in fact I've got a feeling it's going to be kinda sad.

Yes, he is.

Yes, I clicked the spoiler, not thinking that there would actually be anything of substance under it.

Al_Sleeper is NOT in my good books right now.

At least I can look forward to more fighting between the ladies and various other shenanigans from the other characters.

If you take into account the nature of Witchblade, that was not much of a spoiler.

I always open spoilers, because even if I learn how something goes, I still want to see it :P

Be brave or hide in your pants :D

Meh.

While I'm still annoyed, it doesn't really matter that much.

I've just watched ep 12 and it's shock horror gasp time.
Something has happened that I thought would happen eventually due to something I noticed earlier in the anime.
No, nobody died, but they way they have done it brings a certain person nobody in the close group of friends ever wanted to see again back into the picture.

Going to watch another couple of eps then call it quits for the night.

Finished watching "Witchblade".

First, apologies to Havoc10k, as I said I was going to do something which I have ended up not doing concerning this review.
I'm going to use the mini-reviews I did in Notepad as notes to do the review, there is far too much info in them that would basically be spoilers.

Note also that the version I have is dual audio, English being the default.

So, on with the review.

Where are we at?

Tokyo.

When are we there?

Some time in the future, 6 years after a major earthquake devastated the Tokyo area. Cars still get around on four wheels and basically still look like cars.
Everything technology wise looks the same as it does today, more or less, but there are still differences, as you shall find out.

Our first scene shows us a lady on a boat, with a little girl, a man and a dog.
This is your first look at two of the main characters, Masame Ahana and her daughter Rihoko, who is 6 years old.

Masame plans to make Tokyo her new home, all she needs to do is find a place to live and a job.

In the process of doing this, we discover that she is on the run from the NSWF's Child welfare division.

Masame is separated from Rihoko by the Child Welfare Division, but changes her mind and steals a police car to chase them in.
She has an accident, but is ok and is put in prison.

It is here that the Witchblade first shows it's powers, transforming Masame into a powerful being after she is attacked by a mechanical creature in the prison.

As the anime moves forward, we discover that this mechanical creature is called an X-con and it is technology based on the Witchblade.

We also find out that the X-cons and Witchblade react to each other and that Masame, when she is in her Witchblade form, really loves a good fight.

Eventually Masame is offered a job with "Douji Industries", cleaning up the rogue X-cons that apparently escaped during the earthquake 6 years ago.

There are a number of other things we discover along the way.

The NSWF is run by a man they call 'Father' and he has been creating 'neo-genes', women who have been created from hand picked ladies whose genes have been taken and mixed with the genes of 'Father'.
The best of these ladies are then given a 'clone blade', technology that is based on and works in a similar fashion to the Witchblade.
However, mistakes have been made and not everything goes to plan.

Circumstances happen that cause various things to get more and more out of control, until everything comes to end in a final mighty battle at the still standing Tokyo Radio Tower.

Witchblade is an interesting anime in many ways.

Our heroine Masame, is a real woman. She has large breasts, but they aren't that big for her body and speaking of her body, that is quite well proportioned too.
Rihoko is totally a 6 year old girl....as far as anime goes anyway. Cute as a bug, responsible, a good cook and she looks after her mom.

There is a lot of action, mostly fights between Masume, X-cons and the Clone Blades.
There is also some slice of life happening from time to time and towards the end of the anime some rather heartbreaking scenes. I didn't cry, but I was definitely sad.

There is a lot to say about this anime, but not many ways to say it.

It seems to have a bit of everything, action, romance, slice of life, mystery, happy bits, funny bits, sad bits, all kinds of things wrapped into one anime.

Does it have a good story? YES! 1000 times YES!
Well, at least I think it has a good story.

I don't think there is going to be second season of Witchblade, the way it ends pretty much ties up all of the loose ends.

It's worth watching, not a must watch anime, but still a pretty good one.

Well, after watching Witchblade, some light viewing is in order, so I'm going to be watching "Mitsudomoe Zouryouchuu!", the second 'season' of "Mitsudomoe!" which I reviewed earlier in this thread.

Surprise!

No posts between the Witchblade review and this one, which is about "Mitsudomoe Zouryouchuu!"

I used Google Translate on "Zouryouchuu!" and it came back with "Increase in", so I guess that makes the title "Increase in Mitsudomoe!".

Those three sisters are back and they are just as troublesome as ever.

Mitsuba has gained a little weight, but has lost none of her mischievousness.

Hitoha is still as tsun as ever, but she has more friends.

Futaba is.... well Futaba. Hasn't changed at all.

The second season is very much the same as the first season.

It follows the girls on a rampage of 'slice of life' scenarios in various different settings, most of them being at school.

All of the usual suspects from last season are here again.

The girls father, Marui Soujirou appears frequently, as do all of the girls friends from school.

Our newbie Teacher and the almost blind without her glasses Nurse are back as well.

This season only goes for 8 episodes, well at least 8 episodes in the version I have of it, there is apparently a 'special' which wasn't included in this release.

Every episode has a number of 'mini-stories' following a theme....more or less.

The first episode focuses on the 'Gachi Rangers'.
Think "Power Rangers" but done in anime form, with all of the cheesy monsters and special effects and that's what I'm talking about.

The last episode has a very nice ending, so sweet it'll make your teeth hurt.

The whole season is very random, following in the footsteps of other anime like, Lucky Star, Ichigo Marishamaro and of course, the first Mitsudomoe.

There are several LOL moments in this season. If you liked the first season, you'll like this one.

Next up is, and I've been wanting to watch this for a while, "Toaru Majutsu No Index II".

That would be me.

It's also one of the very few photos of me on the interrwebs.

Someone on this forum once said I quote "looked like an AT cop".

The poster you can sort of see in the background is an original artwork, given to me by my nephews girlfriend, simply because she didn't want it any more.

edit: found a picture of the poster in question.

to be the "perfect" trolling material next to school days. I'm rather bad at reviews.

I guess I can do that. You will have to tell me where I can get it from though, it doesn't seem to be on Baka for whatever reason.

Plus you will have to wait until I have watched Index II.

In other news, I've started to download the anime that I have on my 'to get list'. The good thing is my quota resets TODAY, so I have lots of downloading that I can do.

Among the anime I plan on getting, I'm getting down;

Ergo Proxy
Scrapped Princess
Dirty Pair (and probably as much of the other 'dirty pair' anime as I can get my hands on if it's any good)
Angel Beats (yeah, I know everyone will go into shock when they read this)
Uminek no Naku Koro ni
Mahou Shoujo Modoka Magical.

Those are the ones coming down NOW.
I'd say there are at least another dozen in the list that I need to look at and decide if I really want to watch them or not.

edit: Boku no Pico..... is Yaoi.
More to the point it's 18+ R rated.
AniDB has tags for it like: shotacon, anal, traps, vibrators, masturbation.
You can see where this is going, right?
It's a hentai from the looks of things.
I'll have a look around and see what else is said about it, but for now I don't have any inclination to watch it.
There is only one subbing group that actually has it completed by the looks of things.

Three crossdressing shota + LOTS of explicit yaoi scenes (mostly of the happy sex variety).

Yeah, AniDB says that too. About Shota I mean.

I think the Admins here would stamp rather firmly on a review of of this particular anime just for that fact, as it says in the site rules 'no linking to loli/shota materials' and review of 'Boku no Pico' *might* fall under that particular ruling.

Add to the fact that I haven't ever reviewed a hentai anime before, given that most of them don't have much of a storyline to begin with and those that do go something like this;

Girl/boy/thing with tentacles/alien/monster/inanimate object meets boy/girl/thing with tentacles/alien/monster/inanimate object, they have sex.

Plus other variations on that theme.
