Will Compressing from my NTFS Hard Drive Affect my Torrent Seeding?

(1/1)

title says it all, will the torrent files be unreadable anymore or no?

Is it bad to seed it in compressed mode or no?

Compressed mode I'm saying is
Right click folder
attributes tab >> advanced
tick Compress contents to save disk space

no. it will not affect your seeding (or even downloading) in that way.
However, you can expect a little increase in CPU usage.

btw, most torrent contents are compressed already. you wont gain much space this way.

Don't bother using it; if you really need to compress files you'll get better results from 7zip/winrar, and most files you use it on won't return you much free space since they're already well-compressed (PNGs, JPGs, video files, etc). It's extra CPU load from which you gain next to no benefit.

I LOLed so hard when I saw my brother had set his personal folder to compressed on the old XP installation; he gained maybe 1MB out of a few GBs of video files and other stuff he had.

No, it will only put more strain on your CPU. File reading speed will be lower but not torrenting speed which only influenced by your internet.
