Because we're a petulant bunch, membership is determined by the canonical list in this post.  Thus, your membership is granted or revoked at will by any staff member.  Membership numbers are similarly decided - your chances of receiving your preferred number increase with bribery.  Similarly, we will edit your signature to add the fanclub member notice - the choice is not yours.

Prospective members wishing to find out more about the staff so as to bask in their glory may find the staff list helpful.

Not any more, unless you count Arc (as H-forum mod) or Chiya (as questionable gender).
