Can't download...I know you've heard this a thousand times.

Okay, so BakaBT, it's pretty sweet. Pretty much everything I want from a torrent site... The problem is, everything I download from here doesn't seem to work.

Every time I download a torrent, regardless of seeds, it doesn't work.

Right now I'm trying to download

yet none of these seem to get off the ground. I've tried various other series over the last day or so, but even super popular stuff like Haruhi is a no go. I don't seem to have any problems with any other torrents sites. Right now I've got two going from Tokyotosho.

I spent some time browsing the last 10 pages in this forum trying to allievate the situation, to no avail. Pretty much everyone with my problem either had a blacklisted version of uTorrent or their ports closed.

I'm using uTorrent 2.2, which seems to be white listed and my port is most certainly open.

Please, can ya help me out? Much appreciated.

this is important. Normally utorrent shows information about a torrent under the torrent list. Select a BakaBt torrent and then select the "trackers" tab. Take a screen shot. In mspaint etc, paint the text between "http://tracker.bakabt.com:2710/" and "/announce.php" so that it won't be seen. Post the screenshot here.

Uh, whatever happened, it seems to be working fine now because you have some statistics recorded on your tracker profile.

Tracker might have been down for a bit, IIRC that message's meaning. It's in the Wiki.

Actually I'm at my parents for Christmas. It's still a no go at my house. lulz.

This actually confirms that the problem isn't with the torrents at all, as I just finished Macross Plus over here.

Hmm, no seeders/leechers? That looks deceptively familiar.

Are you using the same ISP at your parents' place? If not, there's a good chance that your ISP is screwing with your connection to the trackers, as you seem to have the same problem across all of the torrents.

The fact that you can download from public trackers (excluding BBT) makes sense because they usually have DHT and Peer Discovery enabled. BBT torrents have these disabled in order to track stats properly.

You may want to try forcing encryption or downgrading your version of uTorrent. I doubt either will help but it's worth a shot.

Do you share your IP with several others? Or by any chance do you live in the Philippines? I still can't see your tracker profile from your forum one, maybe someting is up with the account, have you tried connecting as a guest and seeing if you can download anything?

^ Yeah I saw that one ^^, could indicate a problem with the account that we can't get to the tracker profile via the forum account.

Nope, it's generally an indicator that his account got pruned before.

It's a very rare case when this is not the cause.

Well, apparently turning my 'Proxy Server" to (none) under Preferences seemed to fix it.

Thanks for you help guys. Dunno why it was turned on by default, but there you go.
