My interpretation of Christmas in the U.S.:
Non-Christian: "Christianity does not have a monopoly on Christmas!"
Christian: (rolls eyes) "Yes, we do! It's called CHRIST-mas!"
Non-Christian: "Er, I meant, the winter solstice. Christianity doesn't have a monopoly on the winter solstice. We want to celebrate it, too."
Christian: "Too late. It's our holiday, we're just loaning it to you. Now put up your CHRISTMAS tree and your CHRISTMAS lights and go buy some presents."
Non-Christian: "No, you don't get it, we don't believe in your God. We don't want to celebrate YOUR Christmas, we want our own version."
Christian: "You can't do that, it's our holiday. Even the government agrees -- they gave us the day off, after all. Stop being a Grinch and get Jesus some cookies and eggnog."
Non-Christian: (exasperated) "Yes, we can. We have freedom of religion. We want proper recognition for our beliefs, too. Stop rubbing our faces in your traditions."
Christian: (pauses for a second) "Help, I'm being oppressed! My religion is under attack!"
Now I just need some comic-strip style art to go with the dialogue and I can be like Doonesbury.
