Isn't that theft?  You should file a claim.

The Top Gear challenges are the best,

Those god damn VWs make me want to punch babies. Same as the elises. They cut you off all the damn time. They bump you... DQ. You avoid, you bump a cone and get DQ'd. I refuse to do the license test atm because of the ferrarri test in rome. #@*&$*#$*@#$* frustrating 2 laps.

A wheel would definitely be useful for MR oversteer too. Only MR seem to have lingering oversteer (I use controller).

^ Yep, it took me quite a while to finish
the Top Gear challenges (especially the Elise one)

Also, I agree that a wheel will help alot
which is why I'm planning to get one soon !

I liked the new updates which allow you
to access the Seasonal Events (Got tons of money from these)
and the Online Dealer Shop (planning to buy the Gran Turismo Formula soon)

The Elise Top Gear challenge was a bitch but other two are easy (though fun). Especially the last one where there are cars coming from the opposite direction. Now I'm wondering what car buy for Beginner Rally Event. And since I have the car I need to do Advance but except for snowy tracks (on which I totally destroy any opposition) I suck at rallys in this game.

Have to ask, is the TG track just as good as it is on TV? Once i get my hands on it, i'll have to try and do a Michael Gambon at the corner that is so named  ;D

I'll probably do my own Top Gear lap times for my own leaderboard too rofl.

Well yeah, hence "stole". called police n everything but nothing came of it.

There must a be a reason for tanking things. And all must be in certain balance.
But what that balance is, must depend only on you, nobody else.

It works perfectly, I'm playing with it.

Depends on what do you mean by "as good as on TV". I believe every real track in GT5 is laser scanned so they can't be more close to the real ones in this generation of consoles at least.

How do you find some of the rarer cars?

Check the online shop. Seriously. Doesn't refresh often, but there's some oddballs for sale there.

Grab a bigger pool of cash. Rarer stuff will pop up, but you still need the level to actually buy it. I recommend playing the 2nd race in the professional group. (Name escapes me atm). German cars only, but you get like 40k per round (approx 6 mins) and the highest HP car in that race is only 200HP. (assuming you're around at least level 10-15)

Save up, buy the GTR '07, deck it out, and then there's a tuning race I think it was, for about 4 mins of driving you get approx 50k. Save up and begin buying stuff.

Damn, even at 700HP, the GTR is faster than a lot of cars with equivalent or higher HP.

No it's not. You just have to learn more skills. Try the classic Japanese 1980s race and try beating it upgrading only power to 150-160HP on a Hachi Roku or levin and no transmission, clutch, flywheel etc. upgrades. It'll take a few tries to figure it out, but you'll find a way to learn how to go into a corner fast, and exit fast. That'll help you learn how to maintain a higher top speed. (I find it much more interesting to try and learn than doing the license tests) I find the Eunos (Miata) and the mr2 are the biggest challenges but most fun. They accelerate faster than you can with 150HP but the computer is too gentle in the corners. If you're too gentle in the corners or you keep taking bad lines and losing a lot of speed, expect to lose at time rates between 6-9 seconds. But learn how to figure out the lines and maintain speed, you should be able to win by up to around 3 seconds. (controller)

Oh yeah, no tire upgrades either. That makes a mile of difference as well. Such tests should also help you learn to drive F1 later on as well.

It feels like playing singleplayer with upgraded cars is super boring, since when can I use a 550HP BMW 1 series?
