i already got no choice, i`m using eastern-telecom but they suck for their unstable speed, well atleast from time to time i get my 200kbps speed(2mbps which is bits not bites so divide it by 8 ) mostly i get 100kbps.

Are you asking what satellite internet is and does it have high ping in real world applications? First off, it's internet you get from satellite signal so you aren't restrained to what ever infrastructure your house/apartment is limited to. Does it have high ping? Not a clue, but I would only assume that it's not as fast as hard wired infrastructures.

Are you asking what satellite internet is and does it have high ping in real world applications? does it have high ping: yes it does, the farther you are from the satellite the higher the ping, its something like (((distance(satellite to customer)/radiowave travel speed)x interference)x distance(customer to location site)) so yea, the farther you are from the satellite and the farther you are from the place you wanna surf to, something like if the server is @ canada and you're from philippines, it would be one hell of a ping, mostly reaches 1k tops. i got a friend that uses satellite for downloading and not gaming, he tried using the satellite once on games but he got 900pings on a game where he usually get 30ping tops, its similar to wired vs. wireless.

My father has satellite and his ping is 2k-3k.
