FFS I HATE SKYRIM!

I have a job, for God's sake. How the hell am I going to keep it like this? Bad enough I randomly shout "Oh that's it, you are DEAD!" 20 times a day.
Demons run when a good man goes to war. Night will fall and drown the sun, when a good man goes to war. Friendship dies and true love lies, night will fall and the dark will rise, when a good man goes to war. Demons run but count the cost, the battle's won, but the child is lost.

So, guys, is Skyrim as shitty as it's put out to be? Or should I go out and buy it on payday?

I wonder how many of people posting here actually bought it.

I would buy this ... when it goes gold, and all bugs are fixed ... and some of the mods are out ... then yeah, i would buy it.

The game is not shitty, it has many flaws, but right now, just wait for patches and stuff.
Then, you can consider buying when it comes in classic edition or game of the year with all probably expansions and DLCs.

It's not shitty.  You might find the occaisional bug or two, but it's nowhere near as bad as the fallout games were.

Anyone saying it's too buggy to play atm either doesn't have the right drivers/hardware for it, or hasn't bought the game themself.

Agreed. I have experienced a few bugs (the thieves' guild bug mentioned above, and a couple of CTDs), but not very many - and not really any more than other recent games. A couple of people I know have apparently also had it spontaneously start raining deer, as well.

Basically, it is definitely no worse than Oblivion or Morrowind, in terms of bugs and in terms of actual game. Better than Oblivion, I'd say, in fact. If you liked Morrowind and/or Oblivion even a little, it's definitely a game you should buy; if not, then I'd wait for the price to drop and the modders to have a crack at it before getting it, just so you can experience it when its at it's best.

raining deer are the least of the problems, you start to worry when you walk around and get hit by a mammoth !
though I can understand this is done by the pesky dragons that steal foodz :D

However I did encounter a Blood Dragon and fricken took me 50 minutes to kill the ass, he been flying around me like a vulture and was not attacking at all :P

But I do enjoy the AI in this game, especially enemies hiding from my arrows:

I Shoot arrows !
bandit:*hides behind a rock*
me:*takes out the fireball spell*
Lina Inverse + Fireball = DEAD BANDIT!
some fire going on
profit :)

If you aren't a pure archer, the only real uses for archery are stealth/assassination quests and killing dragons.

Dragon armor looks great atm but I wish I could make weapons there as well.
Gonna have to go with Deadric Sword and bow.

Daedric is better than dragonplate, but dragonscale is superior to glass.

It's not shitty.  You might find the occaisional bug or two, but it's nowhere near as bad as the fallout games were.

Fallout 3 and New Vegas were a glitchy mess at launch.  Not a controversial statement.

I'm wearing light armors :)
I just want to make weapons from dragon stuffs.
The hardest to do is Daedric stuffs cuz you need their hearts to make stuffs.

If you get lucky, an alchemist will have hearts.  I remember on my thief playthrough Babette (300 year old loli vampire?  Can you say best char in the game?) usually had them.

I loled alot

Played it alot over the last week and I like it so far, bad UI and bugs but I expected that from a PC release anyway so no big deal. There is some good content in the game, standard kill that/go there/fetch that quests are in every RPG but there are some cool quests.

Biggest issue I have with it right now are the enemies, dragons are annoying as hell to fight (but not really hard) because they fly around too much, bears are fucking strong and can be a pain to deal with if they get the jump on you. Humanoid enemies with 2h weapons that can kill you in a few hits because if they get you down to 30% hp and you are unlucky they instantly kill you with a stupid deathblow that I dont know why enemies can do in the first place...

Maybe lower your difficulty a notch. Bears? Never had a problem fighting those.
For dragons, I recommend using archery even if you're not using it anywhere else. I have a 1h sword + destruction character, but I carry a bow and arrows too just for dragons. There's also a shout that forces dragons to land, might want to get that.
Enemies get deathblows when they land a critical hit on you that drains all your remaining health.

Yeah, if you don't want to touch ranged attacks, I highly recommend you progress in main campaign far enough to get the shout that makes dragons land (Dragonrend).

Yeah someone said that, kinda dumb its not the first shout you get considering how damn stupid it is to fight dragons flying around =P

Its not that I think the game is hard or anything its that some enemies are stronger than they should be, was lvl 15-20 when I went up to High Hrothgar and got attacked by a snow bear or something and that thing hurt alot but I had killed several dragons before that and they were piss easy.

I find Frostbreath highly effective against every type of enemy, not only slows enemies down dealing a huge damage, but keeps dealing damage for around 5 seconds, the more HP enemy has the more damage they take, looks like it deals %damage/second for 5 seconds, works awesome on Dragons and Giants :D

my last viictim:
Deathblow by Bound Battleaxe :D

The game is designed so some enemies aren't meant to be killable until later in the game when you're more powerful.  Giants and mammoths, for example, aren't really killable quite a bit after you first encounter one (unless you're a mage and kite one for an hour).
