Yeah...no. I met at least a dozen trolls before 10. I had to FUS RO DAH and run and like hell. Also what difficulty are you on? I played on one less than the highest.

I played normal to "feel the moves"
made a new char and played hard, and frost trolls are not hard to beat, and they get easier the higher the level they are, you just need the proper strategy:
Frost Breath (lvl 3 if you can) slows them down a notch and keeps dealing damage, then you just fire breath once and if you are an archer just keep moving back and shoot away, don't forget to Frost Breath them ASAP again, good to have [Fire Damage] Bow if you are an archer, but [fire damage] weapon is just as good if you are any other type of fighter.

If you keep having problems and you are near a city just kite the bastard to the city guards, they are good canon fodder and you can keep shooting or backstabing the bastard cuz he will more likely get theirs attention anyway.

I just play on normal.  Don't see the point to making combat harder, it will still be meh (Skyrim combat is the biggest weakpoint of the game).

For me, skyrim is about the exploration.  Increasing difficulty would just make exploration take even longer.  I keep it normal difficulty so there's still some element of risk, but it's not needlessly frustrating.

If combat in skyrim was better, I'd crank that difficulty up.

I think that spellcasters and archers are the most fun enemies in this game, they can hide and cover or caste defensive spells.

For some reason magicka drain on Dragons is really bothering them, they don't breathe their attacks as often when you drain their magicka, though I have no idea why is that working on them, cuz they use their form of SHOUT on you which doesn't use magicka.

Maybe this will be fixed in some patch later on cuz that makes a really stupid fight tbh.
