Ei guys, I just recently got addicted to Skyrim and after I beat that dragon up the mountain near Winterhold, I absorbed it's power but I didn't learn a new shout. Is this a bug or something? (Pic related)

Anyways, the game have a lot of good stuff (dragons, radiant AI, dual-wield) and bad stuff (spellcrafting is gone).. But still I was hoping for more improvements than these.. IE: parkour-like wall-climbing similar to Assassin's creed. And maybe adopting the (mounted/unmounted) velocity based swordplay of Mount&Blade as well as it's superb HORSEBACK ARCHERY... 'coz it's annoying having to dismount just to hack at the wolves nipping at my feet, nor is it funny that my dragonborn can't even climb a fence without a ladder on it. I want to at least be able to run on rooftops with my khajiti assassin and maybe throw some poisoned daggers and set some traps.. :( on a lighter note: I also want to kidnap people, and snatch their faces and drag them up a wall like the main character in prototype.. (and bash their head in on the gutter. Oh yes! fun times)

But despite the vast landscape of Skyrim and climbing up mountains and such,  I can't even climb the roof of my own house.. haha. Anyways, the radiant AI/quests is fun and a great improvement that keeps things dynamic, so I'll probably still get addicted to this game for a few more days. heh..

(click to show/hide)inb4: you can climb anything by typing tcl on the PC console.. lol.

You have to go to the Magic screen, scroll down to "Shouts", select the one you want and unlock it.

But no new power word was learned from killing it, unlike the first dragon I've slain in Whiterun which gave me unrelenting force.
So far I only got 2 shouts (the other one I learned from the greybeards) but I've already killed 3 dragons in total. (the other dragon I killed near Riften) So.. the only important things I got from the two recent dragons I've slain were their bones and scales?

The weird thing is that there was this flashing lights and then a message pops out that I've absorbed it's dragon power. And yet, I didn't get any new shout or power word for it.. :/

WRONG.

You learned Unrelenting Force in Bleakfalls Barrow, the same place where you found the stone tablet for the court wizard. However only after slaying your first dragon could you actually use it.

Words of power are learned from curved walls (greybeards and a few other sources), dragon souls are needed to unlock the already known words.

EDIT: here is a site to explain it in detail and to reveal locations of words of power.

Sweet! I was wondering why I can't use some of the words of power I've found while dungeon diving. (like animal call and such. Or maybe it needed more power words or something) But what happens If you don't have the right words of power yet when I kill a certain dragon, would it still unlock the right shout even after I've killed the right dragon ages ago?

Also, does anyone know the stats of Bound weaponry? Is it static or does it scale along with your level? does it have a limit cap? If so, which is stronger at maximum character level: Bound weapons or Daedric weapons (when fully upgraded with a master smith)?

(click to show/hide)edit: iirc, the power word I learned in Bleakfalls Barrow was the word "force" (NOT Unrelenting Force), while the word I learned from the Greybeards was "balance" which upgraded unrelenting force. And another word they gave was for "whirlwind" automatically unlocked the a new shout called Whirlwind Sprint.

Now, does that mean that I was able to unlock 2 shouts by absorbing the powers of that single Whiterun dragon or is this an exception to the rule?
