There are no #right" or "wrong" dragons. Any dragon except the main boss Alduin will give you a soul and you can use that soul to unlock any word of power that you have learned, or save it for later until you learn a word of power that you want to unlock.

Bound weapons are of course worse than real ones, but they weight nothing and can have cool bonuses if you take perks that affect them in conjuration tree.

But where can I check my Bound weapon stats to verify that? I'm an Archer/Conjurer/Dual-wielder focusing on Bound Weapons. And my highest stats are Archery and Conjuration. My fave is Bound Bow since it practically has "unlimited" ammo. Should I just switch to Daedric Weapons?

My Bound Weapons seems to keep getting stronger as I level up the appropriate skills, So I was thinking that If I max out Archery and Conjuration, My Bound Bow might actually get stronger than even a Daedric Bow..

I very much doubt a bound bow will get stronger than a Daedric bow created and reinforced by someone with smithing skill.  You can get even more ridiculous numbers if you have high enchanting and enchant your shit with +smithing.

I wouldn't worry about ammo, either.  You'll never use up all your ammo.  I have thousands of arrows, you'd have to be playing on master and be a terrible shot to run out.

this is why I'll just buy it for xbox. I'll wait until a game of the year version is released that will have the expansions and (the big) bugs fixed.
Sure I'll have to wait a bit but I have a lot of anime to watch.

You don't buy this kind of game for console. You buy it for PC for the mods released by users, not the company.

You can check stats by summoning a weapon, then go on items > weapons and look at the number in lower corner that indicate your damage with that weapon.

All weapons have a base stat. For example a steel sword has it's base damage at 8 while Daedric sword is at 14.
Those two are good examples because bound weapon is equivalent of steel weapon and bound weapon with "mystic binding" perk is close to Daedric base damage. In case of axe it is closer to glass axe, than daedric one.

Bound weapons do not get stronger with higher conjuration skill.

Bound weapons will never be stronger than real weapons that get legendary status when upgraded by someone with smithing skill close to 100. I crafted my daedric swords (I dual wield them), base stat for daedric sword is 14, legendary status gives it +10. 24 as a base stat is not something you can achieve with bound weapons.

Also people who put powerful enchantments, can make OP weapons coupled with Smithing skill.

Still, bound weapons weight nothing and can soul trap and banish atronachs/turn undead with appropriate perks.

AceHigh's guide to OP weapons:

1. Achieve 100 in Smithing.
2. Craft daedric weapons.
3. Achieve 100 with perks in Enchanting and have "Extra Effect" perk.
4. Achieve high skill in Alchemy.
5. Find and break down an item that has "fortify smithing" enchantment.
6. Enchant an item yourself with a more powerful version after drinking a "fortify enchantment" potion.
7. Wear the item that fortifies your Smithing and drink "fortify smithing" potion.
8. Sharpen your weapon beyond the normal Legendary status.
9. Enchant your weapons with Paralyze spell that has 1 second duration time.
10. Enchant your weapon with second enchantment that is eithe elemental damage or health/stamina/magica absorb effect.

Enjoy your OP weapon.

PS: if you manage to boost your Smithing skill to 196 points, you can upgrade your Daedric artifacts (Mace of Molag Bal, Dawnbreaker, Volendrung, etc...) to Legendary status.

Yea. I'm probably going for a paralyze/soultrap combo for my bow as well (to keep a steady flow of souls), and dual-wield paralyze/health absorb and soultrap/banish blades. I actually have a 100 enchanting skill but my smithing skill is only around 50.

Also, does anyone else find it weird that drinking werewolf blood cures you of vampirism? I was actually hoping to be a werewolf/vampire/dragonborn/skeever/mutant panda hybrid or something.. lol.

Most lores out there don't allow vampirism and lycanthropy mix.

No. It only cures vampirism for a short while after you contract it. If you leave it for around a day, it manifests properly and then you have to do a short quest to get rid of it. And lycanthropy can't be cured with it at any point. The only way is to do that ritual to remove it.

Then it must be bugged on me cuz I drank shits of loads of blood in the meantime for several days, Vampirism has it's benefits in powers as well as Lycantropy, but I was able to cure it once with a potion and second time at the shrine of Telos (i think) which removes all diseases :)

inb4, no I have zero patches installed :)

Drinking lots of blood prevents vampirism from getting worse, so you would actually have kept it at the initial stage for a few days.

Well you see I was taking my dog out for a walk trying to make it poop somewhere less inconspicuous when suddenly...

(click to show/hide)

edit: btw, If I join the stormcloaks, is it possible to kill Ulfric ('coz he's an ass and I'm cooler than him) and maybe become the new Leader of Skyrim or something? I wanted to join the stormcloaks and fight for freedom and sweetrolls but being a Breton, their Nord supremacist anthem is cramping up my style.. Or is it better to join the Imperials and maybe have a shot at becoming the new emperor/empress and deal payback on Thalmor ass 'coz of the dragonblood in our veins? IIRC the last emperor with dragon blood died during the oblivion crisis right? So you have a valid claim to the throne.

I would take a dragon over that damned dog.
I tried to sneak up on a Dragon and that shit started barking, I started shooting at the dog instead. Makes a good target practice too, you still get points for that :)

There is a good thing about Bound Weapons, at some point they can cause SoulTrap and they do grow stronger, but they are still weaker than any crafted weapon of that level. Bound weapons look like Daedric gear, but believe me, I think those are second-hands or even third hand rate when it come to damage.

Bound weapons look like Daedric gear, but believe me, I think those are second-hands or even third hand rate when it come to damage.

Weird thing is: after I checked my Bound Bow stats at the item menu and comparing it with the regular Daedric Bow, the Damage for my bound bow is 82, while the regular Daedric Bow is only around 46 damage. And since my smithing skills are still too low to maxout Daedric weapons, I'm relying very much on my Bound Bow right now.

Plus, Bound weapons look cool and sparkly and it cements the roleplay for my Breton Planeswalker. The only weapon I try to equip is the Blade's katana looking sword which looks good when I dual-wield it with a bound sword while wearing a Penitus Oculatus armor. haha. Besides after reading some of the comments, it seems that having pimped out enchanted weapons breaks the game by making it too easy, so they crank up the difficulty level. Which kinda make your followers a lot more useless than they already are.

But I enjoy having my homies tag along as we stroll around pimping it out on skyrim.  And I enjoy aiming headshots past their ears as I aim for the enemy's head. It doesn't really make things any easier for me, but it certainly makes it oodles more fun..

Besides, I lol each time I send a follower to go trigger a trap.. haha, fun times.  ;D

Yeah, it's a great improvement to be able to tell your followers what to do.
Personally I just solo everything, sneak + Archery= WTF DEAD dragon in 8 shots.

Actually, if you want op weapons...

100 smithing
craft two daedric maces, upgrade to Legendary
max one hand
get Elemental Fury shout
don't enchant your weapons
100 enchanting
40% one handed damage gloves/boots, amulet, ring (or do an set of fortify enchanting/alchemy/smithing first for higher stuff - see this)

Now go proceed to completely dominate anything in half a second. Here's a crappy video of some guy with swords: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CQyHVyUOBTA

You can find a video of some total retard that kills a dragon in like 2 seconds with dual swords too.

Maces are more op though...
