Yeah. The Nords are kinda neo-nazi. They tend to hate all non-nords. They won't even allow khajit in their cities.

In all TES games it goes basically like this:
Men accept Mer (elves) and beastfolk in their midst, some more than others. While imperials and Bretons are more multiculturalist, Nords, Redguards are more nationalist.

However if we take a look at Mer, they are not just neo-nazi, but they have a nasty habit of enslaving men and beastfolk whenever they get the chance. Ayleids did it, in Vvardenfell they did it and I am pretty sure that the new Aldmeri dominion is doing it. At least it is obvious that Dunmer had it coming and in Skyrim there are references to Vvardenfell being conquered by Argonians.

Nords might be nationalist, but they are not close to the nazi Mer and their vast slave pens in Tear.

I love traveling around and randomly killing the Dominion soldiers walking around hunting down Nords, cuz that is what they do.

Ironically, when Dawnstar was attacked by Ancient Dragon a while ago, there were a few agents among the dead.
I killed the dragon in the middle of the lake, all folks surrounded it and me and OHMYGOSH etc.

I love kiting dragons to Bandit camps and Foresworn bases, pretty amusing if you can menage it well.
Being a Vampire helps, especially when you are able to use the shadow spell :)

Are you on PC? As far as sexy goes, this is about as hot as they get: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2517
Well, unless you count nude mods.
There's some other various things people like to reskin like the robe the daedra Nocturnal wears...
If you're the assassin sort: http://skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=724

Yup, I'm on the PC.

The leopard re-texture for the forsworn armor looks nice. I might actually try doing my own reskins after I finish the game, if it's not too much hassle. Maybe I'll reskin the Nightingale Armor and make it look like Assassin's Creed armor.. lol..

It's been done about 10x already. Just search for it. xD...

It's just... maces have the absolute highest 1 handed damage in the game. So two maces hitting fast as hell... it's the most overpowered.

The percentage modifiers make it so insane with the higher base damage...

A mace is slower than a sword, so DPS is about the same.

Not with 3 part Elemental Fury.... try it. Hold LMB+RMB... like 5 attacks are near instant.

But you can put ASPD modifiers on swords, too... so what's the point? Either way once you get a weapon that hits the damage cap (which is lower than people think it is), the weapon you use doesn't even matter.

I was gonna go mage for this game but my friend is playing one, so I wanted to do something different. Figure i'll go pretty much pure warrior. Felt like making a character modeled after Kenpachi from Bleach.

QUick opinion question from you guys: High elf or Nord? Nord makes more sense, but i checked and the High elfs are noticeably taller than Nords. Plus theyre the only race with a spikey hair style. Unfortunately the Nords do not have one =( I was also wondering What you guys think for the Weight slider. I was thinking about it and Kenpachi is tall and cut but hes not really super buff like cranking the weight bar makes you. Should i leave it in the middle? A notch to the right or so? Several notches to the left? Its kinda a pain checking the weight bar with your shirt off since it takes like 10-15 minutes to get to the point where you can take your shirt off and pull the camera back.

Im leaning to the High elf just for the looks, but like i said im concerned i may get gimped since i dont plan on using many spells. Anyone whos put some hours in that can give me your opinion? I will only be upping alteration a bit for ironskin and the like. Possibly a bit of illusion for paralyse and fear spells. I'll be going either 1h or 2h havent decided yet.

^_^x KD

Imo, the two best races in the game are Bretons and Orcs. Bretons get an innate 25% magic resist, which is extremely powerful. With The Lord sign, you can pretty much start off the game with 50% magic resist, which is game changing. Mages are the most powerful enemies in the game, easily. People are going to tell you that you can reach the magic defense cap without being a Breton and that it means nothing.

That's total bullshit. Being a Breton, that means you have at least one extra enchant slot that you don't have to put MR on. Not to mention that the 50% magic resist you can get practically at the beginning of the game is seriously going to make your life so much easier throughout the game.

They're especially powerful as warriors, ironically, because you don't really start out with that many points in core combat skills. Since most early enemies are laughably easy, that means you get free levels because the first 30 levels of any skill are ridiculously fast; you can just save up perk points for when you need them, and get free MP/HP/Stamina upgrades.

Orcs are just useful because of their once a day buff. The problem is that once you get maxed out, about the only thing you're gonna use is the damage reduction on it... but that's still gonna help, just not a terribly huge amount.

Now some news on the technical issues.

Those who bought the game for PS3 are suckers. Not in the sense of "idiots", but in a sense "got screwed over".

Both consoles and PC have the problem that savegames become bigger and bigger the more you manipulate the world. PS3 is the first one to break because of memory limitations, Xbox has poor performance after a while as well. PCs can overcome this problem by simply having over the top specs, but even though my PC should handle this really well, I can see how my games gets slower the more I play.

This is not a bug and it is not console's fault. It is the flawed Creation Gamebryo engine that has always had this problems. It was just not as noticeable with Morrowind and to some extent Oblivion, because it didn't have so meny entities in the game.

Basically: Bethesda, dump you shitty Gamebryo engine and make one from scratch which is less retarded!

Actually, Morrowind suffered from large save problems BIG TIME. There's a reason I stopped playing it on the original Xbox (I was rather pissed too, because I put a lot of time into the character; the game eventually became unplayable).

Cute, huh?

Morrowind was great (on pc), sunk so many hours into that game. Same for the elder scrolls that came before.

Oblivion failed IMO.

Hope this one is good :)

Wasn't aware that Morrowind even existed for consoles. But yeah, it's the same junk engine with more content making the problem bigger.

Oh and some good news: DLCs and expansions will only make the problems worse.

Arena was by far the worst one of them all >__> Sure it wasn't buggy like oblivion, but it was very boring.

Ei guys, I gots me a problem.

So I started out a body farm. Basically I just kill cool looking NPCs, and even some followers that aren't waifu material, and then I make them my thralls so I could drag them back home for safe keeping where I can easily choose who to bring with me next.

I gave my faves some of my stock OP weapons like daedric bows with paralyze/soultrap so they can help me farm more souls. And summoning staffs so they can summon their own atronachs and we're like a friggin' huge army. Although they don't equip the legendary armors I give them (they unequip them when we enter a new instance). It's like everywhere we go, there's an epic battle going on.. (watch out for that skeever!!) lol.

Anyways, does anyone here have a better solution for the missing thralls glitch yet? I've been googling for it and the only ones that seems to work were the 'reload from a previous save' and the 'dispelallspells' options..

Sorry for the 2x post, but I might have a partial solution to this since I've also noticed the increase in the savegame files after there's been too many dragon carcasses littering the streets. So I've finally got into the habit of disabling the corpses manually. (Ie: open console, click on it, then type 'disable')

Yea, it's not the most elegant solution out there, but just don't forget to loot them first if you're not planning to enthrall them for later. Also, you should disable the autosave features if you haven't done that. So far, I haven't noticed any problems with this yet. Just be sure that the corpses you're deleting aren't essential to the game or something.

This exact same problem happened with New Vegas.  Not auto saving DOES help.

Also, clearing the memory cache when it starts getting slow helps, too.  You do this on the ps3 by turning off the ps3 for 30 seconds-1 minute.

Useful console commands:

pcb - purge cell memory. (especially useful for computers with limited RAM)

tcl - noclip mode when you are stuck in the floor, walls, between two stones in the mountain.

enable/disable - clearing corpses, a workaround for Lydia as she is the only companion that doesn't level up automatically. Just click on her and disable her, then enable back to have her stats recalculated.

resurrect - some may see this as a cheat, however I don't like how a dragon kills off all smiths, shopkeepers, etc and kills all citizens of a town with a fire breath.

player.placeatme (ID tag) - a command my girlfriend is all too familiar with because her companions keep vanishing into thin air all the time.

player.additem (ID tag) 1 - To spawn all the armour and weapon for that said companion.

Funny thing is that bethesda made console usage be a cheating offence that locks you out of Steam achievements. Yes, you heard me right, motherfucking steam achievements for a singleplayer game that nobody else but you will ever see. Sorry Bethesda, but we have to "cheat" as a workaround for the bugs in your game.

Yeah, me and my mates at work don't even remember a Bethesda game with a console that we didn't use the console, for the sake of COMPLETING a quest at least once. It's called DEVELOPERS COMMAND CONSOLE, and that is what it's being used for in most cases. They made the game far too easy to cheat in, and the only use I have for the console is fixing bugs by using the quest ID and stuff. Used it at least 20 times by now.

And no, you don't get anything special from achievements in this game, so why should I bother ?

Also, I am now playing Borderlands and I can say one thing:
If Fallout 3 was like this, it would earn a Game of the Year, and it would really deserve it.

It was too easy to "break" borderlands.  Some of the abilities were just far too overpowered of spec'd appropriately.

player.placeatme (ID tag) # - a command my girlfriend is all too familiar with because her companions keep vanishing into thin air all the time.

placeatme creates a completely new instance of that npc. What you really need to do is player.moveto RefID

Click an npc to get their RefID. It's different from their BaseID. RefID is that specific object in the world. It will change every time you spawn a new one since new objects get new refs. So just write down the original, and you can move to it.

anyways, NOW I can finally get back into hoarding my undead army..  ;D

I still find Borderlands far more entertaining than Fallout 3.

FUCKING KILL YOU !!!

soz for cursing but IMO it's appropriate, now I understand why a lot of quest NPCs are NOT essential.

Speaking of which, anyone else like Ebony more than Daedric?  Daedric isn't perfectly symmetrical and that bugs me.  Also, it feels like daedric is just too evil looking.  I certainly don't play that way on my warrior.
