Just adding a shout doesn't mean it's available for use. They need to be unlocked with dragon souls, even if you add dragon souls to you companions they can't use those souls to actually activate the shouts.

I see. Any idea on how to do that? I managed to force Sylgja to use a bound sword after I gave her a bound sword spell, removing her other spells and main weapon, the CNAM of combat spellsword and ZNAM of spellsword. Although it seems that I also need to tailor her available spells since adding common spells like flames and bolt spells which is a favorite between multiple classes, becomes their first priorities, and I still can't mod her to dual-wield her blades sword along with a bound sword despite testing combinations between different thief classes and spellsword combat styles.

I also wanted to see my other followers to have their own distinctive fighting styles which reflects their classes. So it would be nice if some of them could use the shouts that are appropriate for them, if for example I gave them combat styles similar to Draugr Overlords or Greybeards.

Havoc10K:
To have them use shouts you need to find the codes for active shouts.
Unfortunately, I don't think the command console will work on that, best bet would be giving companions the Dreugh Shouts as they are likely enabled by default, but their power is actually not that good.
I'll see what I can dig out from codes, but I think activating the shouts will likely be possible via mod when the kit comes out, or when someone will write a companion save editor.

I'll dig a bit, but I don't think this will work as we would like to.

For anyone interested, there are dialogue replacement files to Japanese on Demonoid. Just backup those files in your install dir and copy over.

They're pretty good I think, though some words are left untranslated like "Dragonborn" and "butter" (a guard conversation), which I thought was a little weird.

Havoc10K:
All guards in Skyrim were adventurers until they all got shot in the knee.

Butter in a conversation tells you it's weird ?

tyrionlannister:
No it's the fact that they say "butter" in English while the rest of the phrase is in Japanese. I mean, Dragonborn I can understand, being that it's a title of sorts, but butter? I don't suppose there's no word in Japanese for butter is there?
