Main Characters walks in on one or more of members of his harem while they're changing/showering/bathing/or otherwise scantily clad.

You must be kidding, it doesn't happen in life ?

This means I've been waiting in vain ?  ;D

-When the enemy is said to be absolutely strong and they get beat in one hit. (One Piece, Fairy Tail)

That's one point I like about One Piece, a somehow typical Dragon Ball build up sometimes ends up in a hot air release. That's a quite obvious way of poking fun at usual shounen fare.

Hmm, I think I'll add a girl's body which has no nipples in it to my list.

I hate schmaltzy melodrama and the reusing of the same plot over and over and over and over.  I understand that the girl is a tomboy who beats up on the wallflower weakling boy she's secrtly in love with and that the crystal must be found before the evil GooGooBean takes over the universe...but does every single movie have to have the same plot?

Fan service also really annoys me.  I'm too old to care about animated ass and it makes my girlfriend annoyed, too.
You should only watch Politics from here on out, every anime genre reuses the same plot over and over and over and over again, either make more sense with your thoughts or stop bothering yourself with any entertainment.

So did you come here to add to the discussion or just insult other peoples' opinions?
made exclusively for you, cuz you just rant about everything being repetitive, makes me wonder why you watch something you don't enjoy, with politics you can just walk up one in a dark alley and kick him in the nuts.

But...isn't this thread SUPPOSED to be about ranting about stuff we don't like?  Am I missing something here?  I R CONFUSED ???

Stuff we don't like yes, but he or she is bashing the way every manga/anime is done, as far as that goes, I hardly see any meaning for him to even watch/read any of that with the way his attitude is right now, if you don't enjoy it, it's torture, well, if he is a masochist then by all means, but otherwise, I would do anything else if it was not enjoyable.

I don't really understand any of what you wrote, but I am glad that rant threads exist to vent about stuff we don't like about anime.  Anime is just an occasional pasttime for me, much like renting a movie from Redbox.  I don't obsess over it like some folks, so I don't often get the viewpoint that people take anime and manga they cannot really understand (because they do not speak or Japanese) very, VERY seriously.  So a rant thread, to me, is more for fun and discussion than for serious explicating on flaws in various genres or series.

Chill out, Havoc. All Chibi said was that he/she doesn't like repetitiveness and cliches. It's perfectly understandable, I don't like them either.

You should only watch Politics from here on out, every anime genre reuses the same plot over and over and over and over again, either make more sense with your thoughts or stop bothering yourself with any entertainment.

No, they don't.
I'm sure Chibi's "every single movie" statement was just an overstatement, not to be taken literally.

On topic and related to an anime I just finished-

When a show is listed as romance, most of the show builds up towards what you expect to be a romance / 2 ppl hooking up, and then at the end not a god damn thing happens.
One sided and un-confessed love does not equal fucking romance. God damn it that shit pisses me off so much. (This wasn't the first time its happened, but it was just on my mind.)

I hate love triangles...they make me sad
I only hate them when they make the wrong choice, and obviously the one I would choose is always the right choice. Oh, and incest endings, fuck that.

@Havok, its an opinion dude. I feel like I make to many analogies so I will leave one out for now. But I understand what he is saying and there is nothing wrong with it.

I don't mind incest, anime makes it look alright ;3

I should have qualified my love triangle thing, though.
When 2 girls are both likeable, and even if I want the guy to hook up with one girl over another, I'm always brought down by the notion that the girl he didn't choose will be miserable :( It breaks my heart

I hate it when the love polygon involves one or more girls that have NO appeal.  Typically it's the really bland "childhood friend."  It's why Dragon Crisis has been unwatchable to me, I hate every girl other than his cousin and Rose.

It's why True Tears was pure win, it was between his BLOOD sister and the crazy chicken-girl.

It's why Shuffle was awesome, it was between crazy multiple personality girl, yandere girl, and an actually interesting childhood friend (I'm the only one who liked he, though).

However this brings up one of the things I HATE in love polygons...

When there's a girl not involved in the love polygon who is AWESOME.

Mayumi (mixed heyes girl) was awesome but got no play?!?!

I guess when I think back to it, the incest endings weren't my real beef. I think the fact that the particular girls in the shows I am thinking of just weren't my choice, so the incestuous part only helped me justify my rage.

Hmm one of the most annoying things to me is when the author goes "The laws of physics? nah we don't need that". Don't get me wrong i've nothing against a little unrealism, but when:
(click to show/hide)

I know it's not suposed to be realistic but seriously...
Another example:
(click to show/hide)
.... do i need to say anything?

probably already been posted but I hate when a show has a rediculous amount of flashbacks...especi ally when what's in the flashback just happened the episode before. Naruto comes to mind...

Accidental infringement. It's way too overused, and it's just forcing fanservice instead of letting it come naturally. For instance, any time somebody is on a step ladder, they will fall off resulting in a guy's face in a girl's panties. If you want to have ecchi that badly, make something like Ikkitousen with paper clothing. =.=

recap episodes...
not all of them are bad but some are just plain old horrible and even the good ones aren't really necessary

as for what i said earlier about filler episodes not progressing the plot, well that would defeat the point of them being 'filler' if they made such a change to the story as to make the anime too far out of sync with the manga

not to say it never happens but when it does im sure it would be even worse then the filler itself.

I'm not sure what I hate the most but...

1. When a comedic anime inevitably forces a serious situation near the end in order to form some kind of conclusion. Excel Saga comes to mind, though it was ironic fashion - there are plenty of love comedies or slice of life ones that end on this painful, bittersweet, overly sappy conclusion.

2. Using a transfer student as a means of generating conflict or pushing the plot forward. It's just so very hackney at this point, especially when there's one every other episode like with Infinite Stratos.

3. The repetition of the shonen battle-manga formula of the protagonist losing in competition to his (as it usually is a he) rival or arch nemesis, somehow surviving, dwelling on the defeat, seeking some new power which dwarfs his former capabilities, then having a rematch resulting ultimately in victory. There simply must exists a better way to do things then rehashing this over and over and over again.

4. When they force sympathy for the villain. Naruto did/does this far too much. Either the sympathy should flow naturally from the story telling, or it shouldn't happen at all.

5. With the rare exception of Baccano! and the Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi - I hate disjointed chronology in story telling - like when they start in the middle of story and then return to the beginning simply because they want to introduce all the characters early to draw interest.

6. Transformation sequences.

7. When they use 3-D CGI when two-dimensional animation would simply fit better. Nodame Cantabile and Gundam Seed come to mind immediately.

8. Repetition of stop-action sequences in lieu of actually spending the effort on animation.

9. When a character is supposedly killed at some point - only to be miraculously revived later.

10. When it's so close to being pornography, it's like.. why bother? You might as well just go for the real thing. Queen's Blade is hardly alone, but it stands out.

When the writers introduce characters with disabilities just for the sake of accidental booby grabs/crotch-to-teh-face!/panty shot moments.
Then they leave all the nasty, unattractive parts off. Balance Disorder is no laughing matter! >:(
Seriously, the amount of accidental trip-trip-tripping there is in some animes just makes me question "why doesn't s/he go see a doctor about that?".

2nd thing that causes fits of rage is bad story writing, and everything that results from that. I can sit through a lot of repetitive transformation sequences, deliverances of Large Ham and other assorted, over-used clichés... As long as the story manages to keep me in its grip.
