What event occuring in anime do you hate the most?

Everything that kills an anime, basically. Something like Gargantia is one hell of an amazing work. Something like Total Eclipse is one fucked up sloppy shitty work.

Those aren't "events", really.

*anime ends*
Cliffhangers at the last episode of an anime. Why? This won't make me want to read the manga, it'll make me wish the manga would end sooner so the anime will continue.

Do not watch "Bastard!" then. They do that exact same thing. >:(

Dude, don't take anything in Bastard! seriously. It's as long as it needs to be and the great thing about it is if it needs to be picked up again, it can be. If not, then leave it in that little nostalgic bit of our memories. You don't want to drag it on and run out of stuff to do or a budget and then get dropped right in the middle of stuff do you?

I'm only annoyed they stopped it there, when there's still a whole manga left to animate. That's the only thing that annoyed me about Bastard.
So, I hate when they say "this is only the beginning..." then the anime ends.

(Because this is actually my favorite event that occurs in anime and I hate myself.)

When a character doesn't do anything (and they actually can) when there's something terrible happening right in front of them, especially when their friends are taking the blows while they just stay there... ANYTHING is better than nothing god dammit

Gundams aren't meant to be podiums where you can spout your views to someone across a battlefield. Just shoot the prick and be done with it!
As for anime branching off the manga in their own ending, I can think of one instance where that worked out well. Hellsing was a good series, but they caught up to the manga and had to do something to finish it. They couldn't just sit and wait for new episodes for as long as the manga was still unfinished. Now that the Manga's finally done, we have ultimate Hellsing which is faithful to the story so we get two different stories. Kind of reminds me of that Clue movie from the 80s. But here's what REALLY happened! ;D
