I hate First Girl Wins romances where they can't even be bothered to make the character in question interesting. True Tears is the Ur-example in my mind. Why even have a show if "the girl next door" gets a pass entirely because you introduced her first?

Examples?
The Monogatari series is ostensibly harem, and they're great.

The World God Only Knows is sorta harem. Haven't seen the latest season yet, but it's specifically built around harem style VN tropes.

I hate it when the bad guy does too much talking when he could have easily one the fight if he would have just shut up.

I also hate the evil laugh.  I know this isnt anime but it ruined it for my in star wars iii when the emperor all of a sudden started cackling like a mad man and all of a sudden turned super evil??????

Any of the various "Ah My Goddess" series?

When a character is introduced and killed off within the same episode.

I hear ya, True Tears was the worst anime I've completely watched.

What's funny is it's not even adaptation decay. The game it's based on shares nothing in common with it but the title. So their original plot involves spending almost an entire show making one of the choices interesting, and then defaulting to the first one as soon as the main character discovers it's not incest if he does so.

You say no Noe route? This game must suck.

As people before mentioned, I dislike when  male character crashes with a female character and it takes them a lot too long to get away from each other, also, face on her skirt/boobs/hands on boobs. Any normal human being would put their hands on the ground just because a guy falling on a girl could easily hurt her, and her soft body is not exactly a good place to support his hands. Then, even if they end up in a suggestive position, it doesn't take so much time to stand up and apologise. What is more, it isn't really hard to think of a situation when guy could accidentally grope girl's boobs without breaking the laws of logic.

I am annoyed by series with endings so open, that it's like nothing even happened(comedies may not apply to this rule).

Huge boobs and spending several minutes of each episode on showing them.

Those and more are so common because it's and easy way to make somehow popular anime without thinking of anything original.

Oh, and when there's a great solution used in ep x that would be perfect for a situation in ep x+n, but they somehow forget it and make a whole episode about doing it the other way.

Pussy main character that has super powers but hesitates to use it causing damage(or deaths) again and again is also so freaking annoying. I was really thankful that in Gundam(Seed? I'm not sure) the main character after a while has decided to leave doubts out of the battlefield.

Overreacting to some things that also causes an episode of pain, I feel a terrible lack of reason in more than half of animes I watch.

Hope it's understandable because I struggled to put some of those sentences into english.

I, as True Tears (Isurugi Noe specifically) fan, am hurt...but it differ from people to people...

back to topic,
-the "fall and the boob grope" event
-the show emphasize on bouncing boob

i dunno about others, but the above are the worst one (to me)...

It's so funny that you changed your avatar to match the girl you are mentioning in this post as I'm reading.

Well, part of it's shipping preferences, which are kinda silly. But it's a love polygon series that seems to take the least satisfying way to resolve itself. If Hiromi was the only possible choice why make her the least interesting character in the show? Part of why First Girl Wins is so common is that it gives you more time to develop the earlier introduced characters. Just sorta feels like she gets chosen by default.

Noe was the highlight of the series, but the ending just makes it all seem kinda pointless.

Open ending for romance anime is why I never bother watching the last few episodes recently

Huge ones do not compensate for plot is also an agreed upon point

Kira Yamato, little too overly dramatic yes, but too much crying not enough psychology to tolerate it all is another point.
Story needs to support or it fails

-

Yes it was

Anime is anime so its good.
More a western fan thing, but there's so many to sift through, people need to remember there's a bit of sea and international boarders to act as a filter to even support that assumption

I was gonna put a gfx here but I forgot it...

Mine is an event that doesn't occur. It is when you expect something really dramatic to happen and it doesn't. I am a sucker for main characters getting severely injured and side characters get emotional and stuff. I like that kind of cliche drama, yet for some reason it never happens. A cliche that never happens. What?

On the same note, I absolutely hate Deus Ex Machinas. 99% of the time they completely undermine the entire show. I hate when the main character suddenly becomes the all powerful hand of God.

Bleach. Ichigo retroactively has all sorts of powers that didn't even exist at the start of the series. He's always had them, he just didn't know (and the writer hadn't created them yet.)

Amnesia.

Hate it in games, in anime... fuck, it seems like every second person in the world is prone to amnesia when you watch anime.
For one thing, Tiff is not on any level what I would call a typical American.  She's not what I would consider a typical person.  I don't know any other genius geneticist anime-fan martial artist marksman model-level beauties, do you?

I'd say two that I hate are:
(1) someone's last words are them mouthing something -- it's fucking anime, I can't read your lips
(2) getting the common cold from standing in the rain -- apparently every person in Japan strongly believes that rain water causes illness

1. Indecisive main character. . .as so many of you have stated.
2. oh to obvious plot or ending
3. characters standing less then 10 feet from each other and yet they can't even land a single shot, but bullets are flying everywhere.
4. really hate that stupid ending of Evangelion
5. when they add motion effects to action scenes. like blur or camera shake. . .I want to be able to see whats going on. not get eye strain.
6. using too many still frames. . .yes I know it's anime and some have to use these techniques for budget cuts ect ect. but I don't exactly want to watch a Manga. . .

and hey I personally think some of those nose bleed scenes are quite funny
like baka to test. . .as long as you don't go overboard.
"Yes, Natalya is a cute girl. However, I think she could use a special potion. Let me see here, 'Radiant Beauty'. . .NO. 'Ray of Sunshine'. . .NO. That's not it. . . Ah, here it is: 'Relax Frosty Bitch'. This should help her out."

I'm pretty sure those bleeds went overboard a couple of times. Still funny though.
