Only going to say this.... Eiken fails harder than Tenjou Tenge, which, if you ignore the fanservice actually has a storyline that is kinda interesting.

It's too bad TT seems to have turned it's toes up before the story actually finished.

I'd say they are equal fails, Tenjou Tenge is a big fail anyways, plot wise, read the manga, so damn much better.

^True. When I first watched it I was like oh wow Nagi & Bob is so cool. It gets better and better up to episode 10.
Then after that was a flashback [ep. 11], well ok it wouldn't hurt if I get to learn a few things about the past.
Then it was like [ep.24] still flashback, I was like holy fucking hell there are only 2 episodes left and I haven't seen Nagi for almost 14 episodes.
So after watching the whole anime the only thing that I can remember is Shin wants to be a butterfly, but he can never be, he will forever be a moth in the darkness that seeks the light which will eventually kill him. And Nagi the street brawler is the true martial artist. Ok.

Not so much that I hate this, but I usually laugh because of how dumb it is.

When the girl that the main male character falls in love with appears, and she turns her head, the wind blows, and she always puts her left hand on the side of her head. Never seen that before in my life.

Yea summer wars was a great movie, and the last scene was epic..

When the "Boy and girl fall down and the boy accidentally touch the girl's boobs" routine is put in a serious situation, and his girl friend see them and she run off crying and he shouts "shigaou!!" and all that crap.

Most of the issues mentioned so far occur in shows which have multiple more serious problems which make them suck, so they don't annoy me all that much.

Ridiculous contrivances, used solely to advance the plot from where it is to where the author wants it to be, because the author is too lazy to create a plausible transition, now those pies me the fuck off because it can ruin an otherwise good show. Almost every significant event in the second half of Code Geass, starting with Euphemia's little brainwashing incident, fits this perfectly.

1) when a hero becomes SO powerful that it seems contrived to find villians to be a significant threat to the heroes eg dragonball z
how much more powerful does a character have to be then the ability to blow up a planet without blinking?

2) when a '5 minute' fight drags out for several episodes (again eg dragonbal zl)
