"anonymous" Bittorrent services

Hello first of all I have searched the forum a bit but I couldn't find anything that answers my question.

Currently I am behind a University firewall and probably will be for at least another year and a half. I can kind of use proxies to still download stuff, sometimes, but I can't seed at all. My ratio is still pretty high at 3:1 from when I had private internet access but that's not going to last forever and I do feel bad about not seeding ^_^;

Now I understand that there are BitTorrent Anonymising services like BTguard. I don't care about the anonymity part I just care about getting through the Firewall. I understand BakaBT uses Torrent keys to identify each user so my main question is would these keys still work if I use a BitTorrent Anonymising service because obviously, it's supposed to be anonymous.

Any help or advice relating to BitTorrent Anonymising services or download AND SEEDING through a firewall I have no control over (and which actively blocks filesharing services like BitTorrent) would be great thanks ^_^

I highly doubt anonymizing has anything to do with firewall workaround. I would expect it to just hide your IP, or at least attempt to, which would pretty much have the same effect as using a proxy.

I don't condone giving you advice to work around something that was put in place specifically to prevent you from doing something, especially by an organization like a University, where the consequences may include expulsion. But meh, that's my own opinion.

Thought of using a seedbox and FTP instead? I would assume your uni still allows FTP access?

PFCorner is maintaining a special seedbox for BakaBT users

I believe anonymizing your IP would likely work.
The BakaBT tracker identifies your leech/seed transactions by your unique torrent key, not by your IP address.

The BakaBT tracker can also ban (automatically or manually) particular IP addresses, usually based on policy infractions.
I might be wrong, but those are my impressions.

PFCorner is an excellent option as well.

Thank you for all the replies. It looks like a seedbox is the right way to go. I've been looking around but it looks like PFCorner might be the best choice. Thanks for the help everyone (^_^)

Or VPN?
It's pretty much the same as a proxy, but you get encryption and thus, the university will need some very beefy systems to spy on your connection.
One more thing, you can seed at full speed over VPN, even if it shows the warning icon in utorrent.
