yeah, I think even in FF6 (FF3) there was shitloads of stuff to do outside of the main game stream, getting some overpowered stuff to help you beat the game easier and while doing so wiping a few times fighting even stronger bosses than the main stream bosses (lol) was a lot of fun, last time I had so much fun was in FF8 on omega weapon when I only used Vitality Junction, Magic, Draw and abilities, everything else was into pockets, that was a true challenge having natural stats and pretty much dying every 2 hits lol :D

Even fighting Emerald Weapon in FF7 without summons (except for auto Phoenix) was a lot more fun, add to it not doing it with underwater materia :D 20 mins for a win, oh what a thrill :D

I've never played 13 before because I don't own a PS3. My sister does tho. Maybe when 13-2 comes out I'll go over to hers for abit and try it out since 13 looks epic and I really enjoyed 12 on the PS2.

summons in 13 were useless unless you are talking about early lategame  tortoise farming. i barely every used summons and never needed paradigms that involved sentinels even for bosses. All you have to do is use libra and rav ai kicks in. The fights over after that.
I hope its less of a disappointment this time. I liked the system but hated its customizability. and the fact that only commandos had the fight command.

I hope se does better with this one.

I haven't yet played 13, but I've heard and saw that the graphics were excellent, that story was decent, and there's also a plus that they brought back the gunblade and you were able to do more in the battle setup. I was a bit disappointed, that it's a linear game like FFX until a certain point. I'm not saying that it's completely bad, but I liked going where I liked like in 7,8,9 and even 12 had more freedom than 10. Sadly, I haven't finished 12, I've been lately playing games have been near impossible.

^ you haven't finished XII yet!?!?

I remember the last boss... it was level 45(?) or sumthing like that and my party was over 60...
I just got bored when I just decided to see the boss so I saved, went there, beat it, and then I just watched the end credits, then continued playing.

Come to think of it, I haven't completed 12 yet haha. I'm kinda stuck at the headless statue boss fight after you use the 1st summon belia? ( can't remember ) to open the ancient gate.

I comleted it in 5min.... If you're stuck with that you don't want to know what is coming.... And if you can't beat it, level up your characters...
