The game starts off with Duke taking a piss. Literally, in a public bathroom, pissing. I think the humor is still there, but I fear they may be trying too hard.

That's what Duke 3D was all about, very forced crude humor... Even today, games like Bullet Storm have really forced crude humor that works... "If you guys even think about following me, I'm gonna kill your dicks!" "What do you mean kill my dick? What the fuck does that even mean? I'll kill your dick!" (when he's yelling at girl)

Priceless. :D

nVidia, during a vid presenting the new GPU abilities they shown a bit of the DNF gameplay as well as Alice's, I liked how Alice looked, but DNF visuals don't look that impressive, I am waiting for both games, but I will remain skeptical about DNF for now.

I tried asking my local Gamestop to see if they will have a midnight launch of DNF, they said absolutely not due to the little amount of pre-orders. I was like WTF!

Once again, visuals make a game? Or gameplay and/or story make a game?

Considering the age of computer technology we live in, I was expecting a little better visual engine, especially after the long years of wait, besides, It's Duke Nukem, what was the main story ?
cash for strippers in clubs ?
killing Aliens ?
stepping in shit ?
kicking their heads for bowl score ?
or simply just blowing as many holes in them as possible before they die ?
did I miss something ?
DNF is a game that really doesn't need a story, it was always a mad shooter, and will always be :)

What you just said there IS the story of Duke. Stupid and funny shit that happens to him on his road to kill each and every alien IS the story.

Honestly, I am impressed with the graphics considering how long fans have been waiting. I mean, one can only wonder about how many times the graphics have gotten an overhaul during those years of development. But an argument could be that it doesn't really need epic graphics as that's not what makes Duke Nukem great.

What I want is a game that will not bug me out, and enemy AI set to random behavior, not set events, cuz that is quite boring and predictable, of course some events need to be set, but not every turn in the corner.

Duke Nukem Forever has gone GOLD.

So unless we all die in the next 3 weeks, Duke Nukem will finally be back.

I totally expect the game to get terrible scores on ALL the gaming sites, but I really cannot wait for this game and I don't care what anyone else thinks.

so this means they are really working hard on this one, gold means it will be more or less bugless, depending on personal hardware.

Yeah, that's Duke, we love him for those :D

I really can't believe this is Duke Nukem, the game itself is nice, but they shitted it over, you will find a lot of stuff that will literally annoy you.

I'd rather wait another year and have a proper game to play.
I feel scammed actually.

I simply updated drivers to 11.5a and it was great, and just ran through the place without watching the surroundings.
