I don't think it's a good idea. It will definitely become a flamewar. Many BBT members are pretty vocal atheists(me included). If you wanna seriously debate religion you should go on a dedicated site.

This particular forum is Just for Laughs. This particular topic is dedicated to making fun of the various absurdities (especially contradictions & hypocrisies, for examples) of religious beliefs and practices. Including atheism, as anyone may wish.

So, if you're not in it for t3h laffs, and you have no humor to poke at religious absurdities, then take it to another forum such as Politics or General. Or, as suggested above, take it to another board altogether.

um, it's more been of the "aren't those people stupid for believing those things" vein. i don't mind poking fun at the hypocrisies though. just remember that there are people (read: me) attached to some of those absurdities.
