No kidding!  Pretty impressive.  Not that I'm keeping score, but I think jigokutayu wins the virtual cookie for most languages known by a BakaBT forum-goer.
inb4 he never pops up in the forum again.

inb4 she;D

I find it is important to know how to ask where the toilet is when traveling.  ;D

I said it too soon. and i stand corrected.

anyway, ya travel for fun or is it for a living?

Both. We are moving in a few weeks for a better job oppertunity, then we are moving back home (Japan). While away I hope to do some traveling to places like Petra and Egypt.

I can also read Braille proficiently, but I'm not sure if that counts.

I think it counts! I know basic ASL* and some JSL, but I really want to learn CSL (which I assume exists, but cannot find physical books or a teacher of here).

*ASL: american sign language

Native: Arabic
Fluent: English
Above beginner: Japanese
Count 1 to 10: French, German

If it weren't for those idiots during junior high that kept interrupting French class and refusing to have it taught (They said having English was hard enough), my French would have been at least the same level as Japanese.

Yeah my Japanese is laughable despite spending months of my life watching anime.

Bullshit.

His level of English is slightly above "lol"; it's at about "meh".
It took an hour to write; I figured it'd take an hour to read.

Sure I do. Most people will at least have heard of it, thanks to System of a Down, though that's a pretty tragic thing to be known for imo ;D

^_^ Yeap. It's indeed tragic. But what's even more tragic is that in our country people try to deny their history, language. And we don't have any politics... xDD

My mother tongue is Swedish, but I spent most of my childhood in Hungary together with my mom, so I'm fluent in both Hungarian and Swedish. And naturally English, I mean who isn't fluent in English on the internet these days. At least 90's kids like me.  8)

Aaaand, I guess I know a couple (and a shitload of expressions-/al phrases...  :'( ) of phrases in Japanese. But I still can't understand very well without subtitles, however I'd really like to learn. Does anyone know where I can get some sort of audio book for Japanese?

I guess what I'm trying to imply is that anyone who's been on the internet for at least since 1998 or early 2000, should by now, speak moderate English.

But I suppose it's just wishful thinking, or projecting myself onto others. In either case, I digress.  :'(

Better than being only known as the land where Hannibal Lecter hails from.

Oh well, I suppose it could be worse, we could be associated with Borat.
