Mat freaks out when I apply eyeliner there, but it never looks right with just the top done.

Yeah, I know.  :-\

It's so easy with liquid eyeliner, tho.  <3

It would appear my knowledge of women's make-up has failed me. That said, I probably know more than a guy should anyway.

I am sorry, I don't see a reason why a girl should paint her face. (Sugarcoat it all you want, but that is true)

I have seen my girlfriend with makeup only twice. And both times it had something to do with cosplay for some photos.

I'm tired of hearing about people complaining about girls wearing makeup. Pisses me off.

Welcome to the fucking world. You'll get use to it in a couple years.

As for the idiots that shave off their eyebrows, what a bunch of tards... If it's too hard to shape their eyebrows maybe they should try threading. And if they're too light, you can make them darker without shaving them off.

Why do you paint over scrapes in your car's paint?

Because we can!

You bother to paint over scrapes?

When you are trying to sell your car you want it to look good for potential buyers..
Some cars don't need any touch up, some do  ;)

The reason why girls wear make up is only because of guys. Being the main factor for your make up, we have all the right to complain or compliment. After all, in the end it's all about getting laid. If you feel that you are so unatractive that you need to paint your face to hide it, then go ahead, but in the end you will always try to look atractive to your boyfriend. So it is he that decides if you wear make up or not.

Welcome to the fucking world, get used to it.

Scrapes on a car is damage. I have nothing agains girls using band-aids when they bleed.

However when a perfectly fine car gets a custom paint job with flames and tribal styles, then just as a girl with painted face, that car looks like it belongs to a pimp.

Well, some girls feel better about themselves when they were make up, whats wrong with that? Would you insist that someone stop doing something that improves their self esteem just cuz you don't like how it looks? I wouldnt.
Some do it for their significant other, there is nothing wrong with that either.

On the other hand the world can be a competitive place in many aspects, whats wrong with a girl trying to strengthen their odds?
Its not much different then trying to stay in shape, you are taking extra steps to improve your appearance.

There is nothing wrong with wearing make-up, just when it is over done or poorly done.

On a side not- I meant "selling" above as in leaving an impression.

Soryon: So basically if you're trying to sell a girl on the street you get out the dulux range? :P

Ace: I disagree. If a woman wants to do whatever to her face, then partner or not, it's still her decision. As a loving partner, it's not you're right to demand she does something, only to tell her that she looks fucking awful when she does.

No, it's not "because of guys." It's because it's a socially accepted norm. It's a cultural thing. It doesn't even root back to male dominance, it was the same in matriarchal societies. And I'm sorry, but girls will give much more scorn over this than guys will. It's social programming and it's just how things are in our society. If you don't like it, too bad - don't do it. You aren't going to change the rest of the world though. You're in the same boat as nudists, except they accept their beliefs for themselves and practice them themselves, they don't try to force them on everyone else and complain about everyone else like a bunch of fucktards. It's not men's fault anyways, it's women's fault over the years, allowing it to become what it has.

By the way, last I checked it has nothing to do with "getting laid." It's about appearing beautiful. We're conditioned to appear beautiful. Makeup is the least of it. Physical attractiveness is the same, people working out and sculpting their bodies to the extent they do. Girls wear makeup, guys spend endless hours in the gym getting bodies like Greek gods. Sure, we'd all be just fine without it and perfectly healthy too, but you wouldn't be as beautiful. It's not for sex, though it may be an underlying issue. The root is the human condition and the desire for self improvement. We always desire to be better than we are and makeup is just an easy way of being better than our genetics made us. The same for working out, and fashion. Some need it more than others, but in the end it's still a desire to be better, and that's why it's so widespread. Everyone wants to be perfect.

And no, nobody decides that except you. If you let people decide your life for you then you're a weak individual. You should be able to think for yourself and make decisions yourself. If you think it looks better, then fuck everyone else. If your partner isn't okay with it, then fuck them too. You can find someone that doesn't care. Nobody needs someone that controlling anyways. Besides, last I checked most guys are stereotypically slutty as hell and would fuck anything that moves if it even winks at them. It's pretty clear when it comes to sex, it's girls that have the power, not men. It's always the females that decide their mate, not males. The males fight over the females, but it's the female who decides. It's true in nature and it's still true here. Guys don't control shit. Any girl with any semblance of self respect and self confidence should know she's the one in charge of the selection process. We may be looked at as objects at times, but we're also empowered because of it.

And if you think I'm ugly then you're an idiot.

Oh but I thougth this topic was about opinions if we like make up or not? I am not telling people to stop doing that, just saying that it is unnessessary and I don't like it.

I see it as a sign of insecurity, a weak mind easily manipulated by any external influence. Nothing is more sexy than a radiant charisma coming from a girl that doesn't give a damn about make-up because she knows that she is convinced that she is pretty... even if her looks are average.

Oh really? Appearance you say? So it has nothing to do with important things like health, longevity and improved physique? As if I would ever bother doing that for a potential date.

It's free country, people can do what they want with themselves. Nothing is wrong with breast enlargement, and facelift either. It's all just fake anyway.

EDIT (as more posts were posted)

Ace: I disagree. If a woman wants to do whatever to her face, then partner or not, it's still her decision. As a loving partner, it's not you're right to demand she does something, only to tell her that she looks fucking awful when she does.

That is not a problem, this is resolved before you even become a partner. Basically if a girl fancys makeup then I don't need to hook up with her, right? It's not like suddenly a person changes over night and starts with new habits that easily. I have a girlfriend who doesn't wear make-up, too lazy I guess and it doesn't come as a surprise because it has been like this since before we met.

Tyffanys, I already answered your arguments above this sentence, so I'll pick out a few things.

Beautiful = physically attractive. Primary attribute for sexual attractiveness. There is no reason to be beautiful otherwise. This is genetics, it's that simple.

I call it bullshit. It goes just as much both ways. Women and men are equally slutty, some individuals have more self control than others, it has little to do with gender. Who said that males don't select females? If that was true, then internet wouldn't be filled with dating sites filled with desperate single women that are nearing their 40-ies. The only difference is that males admit that they like sex, while females play hard to get just to feel good about themselves.

Seems like I found a connection here... the more simple and uncivilized society is, the more make-up is being used  ;D

You can't take it out of context and expect to have proven anything.  That adornment is purely ceremonial, and it isn't relative to the topic of this thread.  Congratulations on your fail.

And your comments are borderline racist, not to mention your ongoing bigotry.  I'd suggest keeping comments such as these to yourself, unless you simply have an affinity for looking like an idiot.

But, then again...

Boys are stupid.

Can't believe I'm linking this - just call it too much time on my hands - but I thought of an example of make up that actually looks good.

Link. See, this I have no arguments against.
