Am I seeding correctly?
tigresssgold:
Sorry! I know this question has most likely been asked before, but I just want to make sure everything is clear.
I want to follow the guidelines of this website because I think it's awesome :D
I'm new here, and I finally downloaded the series Kuragehime (AKA: Jellyfish Princess), and I downloaded all 11 episodes.
I guess the first time I downloaded it, I closed out immediately, not giving it enough time to seed.
Well, I read on the FAQ that you need to start it again, so I re-opened the torrent and hit "Force Start" so now it's downloading. It says I have 48 of 75 seeded, but it keeps changing. Sometimes it'll be 49/75 or 52/75, but it never rises above that.
I really want to keep downloading anime, but I know I'll get banned if I can't seed back @_@"
But I'm having major difficulties! This is also because I'm new (especially to the "high-tech" stuff, I've been on computers since I was 6, but it was surfing the internet, not downloading, etc.)
I downloaded the Hamtaro Movie 4, and it's completed, but it says 0 of 1 (22 in swarm) connected.
It's on Force Start but nothing's changed (and it's been 1-2 hours).
Current status for Jellyfish Princess is 49/76 (okay, that's new. It went from 75 to 76)
Maybe I'm just not understanding any of this... @_@;
Sorry!
(*****BTW, my ratio is 0.013!!! ) :-\

You shouldn't need to force start, but I think the issue you are over-looking is the simple fact that with so many other available seeds the number of leechers that will need to connect to you are reduced. Just cuz you have a torrent seeding does not necessarily mean anyone will need to connect to you for data. The best way to really ensure maximum upload speeds at all times is to have a large variety of torrents seeding so when one is not in demand another can take its place.

So should I leave it as is (is it okay?) or... What?
(thank you for your help, by the way)
Soryon:
By your explanation it sounds like everything is working properly, yes. So just leave it as is and be patient. Alternatively, you could obtain some of the larger, more in demand freeleech torrents. This will offer you more files to share and more leechers to connect to along with the added benefit of being freeleech meaning you will not lose any ratio by downloading them but all uploaded data still counts.

Alright! Thanks! I wasn't sure if I was doing the right thing, or if the reactions I was getting from it were normal or not.
And I'll definitely be checking out that link!
Thanks again!
