Watch the video ... I have one hope, to have it like FFT's storyline and similar battle system!

It is very similar, I played the original version, so you will not be disappointed.

I just wish they released it on the PSN : /

i have the ps1 version but havent played it much. It seems to lag a whole hella a lot. Every time you get a turn or move theres a slight pause for a second or two. Anyone own that version? Does it do that for you? It bugs the crap outa me.

Anyway its regarded as a damn good game. Every choice you make has huge consequences and greatly effects what party members you have, and tons of aspects of the story. I hear you can even off your sister and junk like that if you want to. I remember when i first saw the ps1 version i was like 'omg they ripped off FFT!' then i looked it up and realized this came out well before that =P Im actually looking at pre ordering this since you get a cool tarrot card deck if you do

oh ya, one cool thing theyre adding is the time rewind feature. Since every choice is so important in this game its allowing you to skip back in time and change choices you made if you dont like the outcome. Thats really usefull IMO

^_^x KD

Bought the game and guide. Okay, I'll start off by saying this. FFT: War of the Lions should have had what this game has. TO has lots of classes and you can learn abilities, purchase gear and do a lot. You can alter the story and endings as well. There are A LOT of unique characters, a lot of which you can recruit but depending on the choices you make in the game. This is a really good game and it's a long game. The difficulty is also much harder than FFT: WotL. Anyone else got this game?

I also like the character design. The developers (Square Enix) from FFT: WotL also worked on this game. No wonder it has such a large vast of improvements ...

If any of you have a nintendo 64 or Wii, check out Ogre Battle 64.  Another fantastic game in this series, with a slightly different combat style, it escalates the game to have a more warlike feel since you have like 50-80 units on the field at a time.

I'm trying to get Ravness Loxaerion. You have to be in Law arc to get her and she requires so much shit. I saved the Law part, went back to my old save and chose the other answer to have the Chaos arc only to find that she falls down from a wound (not saying who hits her) and I check the log to see if she died cu'z that's the last I heard of her. It doesn't say she died so she's still alive. Can you get Ravness in Chaos arc?

Edit -- Nvm ... now I know what happened to her in Chaos arc, and it sucks ... -goes Law arc-

Just finished this a while ago. The 58 hours and a couple of sleepless nights due to this game were worth it. I enjoyed every single bit of it  ;D

Now I'm off to recruit the other playable characters (Ravness and Deneb, particularly).

Ravness is a little tough. I completed all the tasks I just gotta get through to Chapter 3 I think and she joins my party. Right now, I'm like playing the game when I'm not watching anime or playing WoW. I'm in chapter 2, Law arc. Really awesome storyline. How's the Chaos arc? Is there a Neutral arc, too?

Won't want to spoil the story but the Chaos arc's pretty good, too. :D

There's a neutral arc, although you can only get to it by picking a specific choice near the end of Chapter 2 Chaos route, so you'll have to start on Chaos first.

Ozma is in Chaos or Lawful arc? I don't think you can get Oz. But Ozma you can and she is freaking hot for a Dark Knight.

She's in the Law route. And you need Hobyrim in your party during a particular battle to recruit her.

I agree, she IS hot. But I think Ravness is so much hotter  8)

That I agree with. Ravness !

When you beat the game, what do you carry over to a new saved game? Anything new unlocks? Do you keep your class levels or the classes you unlocked? Do you carry over your equipment and other ingredients?

All the items, classes, class levels, and characters in your party are carried over to the "new game" save (not exactly a new game since you'll still be using your old save, but you now have the option to go back to certain points in the story by using the World tarot system).

Very nice.

So Ravness was a pain in the ass to recruit. I got her like last night and I decided to take a break since I've been playing the game for a long period of time. To get Lord class, you have to sacrifice recruiting Denam's sister which kinda sucks. Which would be better, tho. Get Lord first time or second time playing it through? I'm guessing first time so you can retain Lord class when you play it the second time then recruit Catiua.

Also, Ravness is another rare character you can change into a White Knight. Damn, this is good.

You can obtain the Lord class on your first playthrough, and then just use the World tarot to recruit Catiua and obtain the Princess class (and vice versa, both options will work).  ;D

The World tarot serves as a great way to obtain everything in the game without necessarily playing through the whole story again.

What's your level?

Edit -- Btw, doesn't Ravness seem to fit a lot better as a Dragoon rather than a Valkyrie until she gets White Knight?

Also, it says that in order to recruit Deneb, you need to auction three different types of Dragons. Can it be like any class of the Dragons? Isn't Hydras classified as Dragon type as well?

Just got to level 30 a few hours ago.

I've heard from some that the dragoon class fits her nicely, but I personally just stayed with valkyrie before I changed her to a white knight. It's your choice, I guess :)

As for the Deneb quest, you need to give her each of the eight elemental dragons (Earth Air Fire Water Lightning Ice Dark Light) and Hydras. Haven't recruited her yet, the mere mention of her side quest makes me want to go to sleep  :P

Eh ... give or auction? Wtf. This guide says you need to auction* three different types of dragons.

Yea I changed Ravness to White Knight. She's so god damn awesome dude.
