Deneb's pretty easy to get in the GBA TO. All you have to do is recruit a female character named Deneb, get her alignment to N or C, level up her stats until she can class change to witch, and do the class change.

Deneb's Wicci class seems to be famous. You can also recruit Warren (forgot what class he is) and Lanselot (Paladin) but that's in CODA. I've stopped playing the game for a week or two, but I can feel the strong urge to get back and get those fucking Pumpkin Glasses to recruit Deneb before I move towards the 100th+ floor in Palace of the Dead. Apparently there's a story connection for that, too. I've read online that there are four different episodes in CODA. I'm in the Second Episode at the moment (recruiting Warren and Lanselot).
