Seeding protected torrent

I don't know how you do it, but you already do it when checking the ratio. Right now, when I try to download, the tracker refuses it because of my ratio; when I already have the torrent completed it still works. The same system could keep the current torrent status in mind. If one tries to download when the torrent is protected and when the user is not a power user, refuse the download. But if the torrent is completely available, no matter of the torrent status or user status, allow seeding. That has nothing to do with trust or no trust, but just with expanding the current system by two additional flags that decide if the tracker says "yes" or "no".

I don't remember yelling about me being warned or anything. I just want to understand why BakaBT does it the way it is now, when there is so much possible upload potential even in warned users. And if you can't answer that, without drawing (faulty) conclusions based on the asking user's ratio or post count, then please just don't.
newy:
Upload potential in warned users? Why are they warned in the first place? Because they didn't seed!
We implemented the system to reward those who know how to give and take and not those who only know how to take.
poke:
What's wrong with giving them the possibility to seed if they want to? There is nothing you can lose with that.. Either they seed, or they don't. With the current "rewards" all you do is separating power seeders from normal users even more, because power seeders get in the "exclusive club" where torrents are protected and seeders are rare..
Sorry, but that doesn't sound really fair to me. Upload capacity i.e. seeding should always be rewarded in the same way, regardless of who it does.
Temuthril:
Would it be technically possible to allow only seeding?
poke:
As mentioned above, that already happens when a warning is intact. If the torrent is not complete, the tracker refuses, but works fine when the download is completed.
