That stance is too broad for me. I rarely buy a game I havn't played first. I buy like 1 release title per year for the MP experience they provide. Other than that I just buy truly good games, the only way to know if a game is good is to play it, a torrent of the game is easier to get than a demo.

As for the game this thread is about, I hadn't planned to get it, I don't plan to get it. I won't even pirate it since it doesn't seem interesting at all.

edit, Though I am considering Shogun 2 as a blind buy. DA2 will get too many DLCs to get at launch, better to wait for the bundle if I buy it. Only two games in the next 6 months that look very interesting.

I don't think I'll buy this one at release. DLCs have been confirmed and I'm fanboi enough to buy the game and the DLCs (unlike with ME :P)
