The bloody head in the Okabe's message in this episode, that has been shown before, right?
no... I think he got a red jelly picture first
Blitzz is right. Red Jelly, Then the bloody doll head. Hey, do you guys think it was really SERN sending those? Shining Finger creeps me the fuck out...

SERN isn't so childish as to send threatening messages with pictures, it must be Moeka or the part timer Amane

Oh yeah, Part-Timer also gives me the creeps. She's so shiny and happy til Kurisu comes in view. Then she turns sour.

I already posted that I doubt it's SERN. they are conducting secret experiments in time travel using the atom smasher as a front to hide what they are really doing.......they can do this without being caught by goverments, think how powerful these people are? They probably have massive resources and a heck of alot of cash from their funding. Why would they fuck about with kiddy stuff by sending stupid threatening text messages? If they can hide their activties from governments these people could just have his whole lab cleaned out while it was empty and there would be fuck all him and his crew could do.

It is most likely Shining Finger or perhaps the part timer. As I said before, because whats his name doesn't bother asking such characters questions to try to uncover their motives and hidden agendes theres no real reason to trust them. Part timer seems to know a few things and her grudge against the red head is just far too suspcious. Shining Finger's searching for the IBM is very questionable, also I doubt she mearly changed her phone with that D-mail that was sent. Someone like her seems to have a objective, actually going to the trouble of getting the lab members to send the D-mail suggests that move was part of her objective.

Strange.. I'm sure I have seen that before...
When he got the text, I thought "He got it again?"

No idea how and where I've seen it though, but I'm 100% I've seen it before.

hmm, if I was SERN....

Got some very nice ways to fuck over Moron boy and his crew

A) Have a fire started in his Lab and arrange it to look like it was caused by the machines in his Lab. Blame for the fire falls on him, supposingly he'll have to cover the damage caused. Either way since him and his crew (Well maybe not the red head) are piss poor students they most likely won't be able to start up their lab again (Especially if a fuck load of debts due to the damage gets dumped onto his shoulders).

B) Hide drugs in his lab. Can either arrange it to look like he's shooting them or much worse he's dealing. He gets a criminal record either way, gets expelled from university, any credibility he had goes down the drain. Also hacker boy and his child hood friend might get burned by this one too since their so closely tied. Even red head might be affected if her affliation with the guy is ever noticed. Don't forget anyone who knows him and finds about the criminal activities might want nothing more to do with the guy.

Combine A + B for maximum fuck over potential =P

lol you think my last post was too long to read?

Pessimistic? hmm, I come off as pessimistic about the show huh? Well I'd blame most of it on Okabe since he drives me up the wall. I don't really mind the other chars too much, their alright. The show itself is interesting in it's own way.

^phew, I thought you were something else...

I don't mind disliking characters (I have such hatred for Makoto), so yeah. I'm sorry for riding you on being "pessimistic" I just saw that you had a lot of negative things to say about S;G. But I see what you are getting at now. Okabe can be annoying for some of the things he overlooks, but he has so much to think about. A big corporation that has killed many people by way of time travel; changing wordlines (his fault I guess); odd text messages; etc.

^Ok, so now that I've put your mind to rest about me being a troll or something, back to topic.

My money is on Shining Finger for sending the texts and photos. The part timer is also suspicious, but not to the level that Shining finger is. Some of her stares borderline hostility. Whatever she wanted the IBM for is suspicious. Whatever she really accomplished with changing her phone via D-mail is suspicious. That girl is simply suspicious =P

Seriously over used the word suspicious =/

I wonder if the Part-Timer is doing what she does based off of a successful transplant of her "future" self's memories. I mean think about it, it's quite possible. I also find it interesting that, assuming the translation is correct, that she said Kurisu works with SERN, and not for them. The difference between the two, while it may seem minor, can mean the difference between her simply being a spy for SERN or accidentally revealing some information to them while collaborating with them on something else, or having one of her other reports sent to them for whatever reason. As while SERN are these big bad evil people, by the "normal" folk in that world, SERN is a highly regarded scientific establishment, so it is not at all far-fetched to suggest that Kurisu has or does work with them to an extent.

^Interesting what you said about "for" and "with". But the expression Kurisu had when Okabe mentioned it to her was, well, doubtful. I think that she really has nothing to do with them.... yet. That Part-Timer makes me feel like she knows something that hasn't happened yet. I don't know, maybe I'm over-speculating things.

That whole business with her father and in one time line leaving the city without a farewell to anyone, it strikes me as something that a time traveler (Most likely the memory thing) sent for some reason wouldn't do. I had a theory that she had been sent back from the future where Okabe the 'messiah' saved everyone from SERN...........ergh the thought of a future where he's worshiped as a messiah, I want to blow that future up ;D My own theory is hurting my feelings. Anyway, so she's sent back perhaps to aid the messiah and help him defeat SERN.

I considered this a strong possiblity, but when she left in that other timeline I was like, wtf? What kind of time traveler sent to aid the person who will beat SERN just takes off like that leaving him high and dry? And besides that she pretty fucking useless and no help at all if she was sent back to aid him. All she does is be hostile to red head. If she is a time traveler then she's the least helpful and least productive ever =/

hmm, still, the two that unnerve me the most are Part-Timer and Shining Finger. I don't know what they are, or their purpose, but there is something odd about them.

Why does Shining Finger want the IBM 5100?
Why is the Shining Finger so interested in the Time Traveling?
Why did the Shining Finger take random pictures?
Why does the Shining Finger constantly text Okabe instead of talking to him?

I can make some logical guesses....

Quote
Why does Shining Finger want the IBM 5100?

Simplist reason (And it's the one thing we know the IBM can be used for), use it to read that special data type that SERN uses.

Quote
Why is the Shining Finger so interested in the Time Traveling?

Again simplist reason which ties into why she wants the IBM, like Obake, she has somehow gained acess to SERN's data on their servers and hence she'd need the IBM just like Okabe and co did.

Quote
Why did the Shining Finger take random pictures?

1) a form of OCD 2) to further her agenda 3) no idea =/

Quote
Why does the Shining Finger constantly text Okabe instead of talking to him?

I have a possible answer, bear with me, it's gonna be a bit of a long one.

With my new theory I have going I think it's because she perhaps suffers from something that effects her communication skills. Btw good chance im wrong here because this is a 'real world' answer and anime don't like the real world. But this fits with my theory however. Anyway, she probably suffers massive discomfort talking to people, even being surrounded by so many people is a strain on her. Texting Okabe wouldn't be as painful to her as openly talking would.

Now then, I think Shining Finger is alot like Lisbeth Salander (The girl with the dragon tatoo), so where looking at someone with communication difficulties, but also has incredible hacking skill. I think she has hacked SERN and now needs the IBM to read the data. I think in that other timeline she might have known that she would no longer have been forced into Okabes crew when her D-mail got sent off. This would suit her fine the way that she is (Dealing with others is painful to her) and I think she has no intention of joining forces. This makes her the calprit behind Okabes threats. Think about it, those images he recieved are from the SERN experiments, which she has access to.

To what her ultimate goal is I have no idea. But if I'm right about her having a condition like I described then the very fact shes always wandering the streets has great significance. If being around people was painful to her then she has a very series objective which she's not letting her pain get in the way of. Thats what u call focus and determination.

Theres one thing I have no idea about......what the heck was the real purpose behind the D-Mail she had sent out? There's no way it didn't serve some purpose in her agenda.

Ok, well how about this one:

Why did/does she want/have access to SERN's data?

Ok, well how about this one:

Why did/does she want/have access to SERN's data?

Working from the idea that she's a hacker I would guess that initially she would just be in it for the challenge. though there could be many other reasons why she originally went after it, she could be a time travel nut (Like that guy who hacked NASA cause he wanted to know if Aliens were real), maybe someone she knows was harmed by SERN and is out to get them, it's impossible to guess exactly what set her off.  Either way she must have uncovered some of the data revealing it's nature regarding time travel, but now she has the same problem as Okabe, needs an IBM to access all the rest of the data.

thats about the best answer I can cook up atm. I'd actually be real dissapointed if she has no massive secrets in the plot afterall. Worse if she's got no condition then she's just fucking crazy.

I definitely believe there will be some deep secret background behind P-T and SF.

-oh, and it's great to have someone to discuss S;G with. I absolutely love this series.

It's likely Moeka, she knows the most about the experiments.
