Steins;Gate [Series] [Visual Novel translated]

Lavo_2:
I wonder if the Part-Timer is doing what she does based off of a successful transplant of her "future" self's memories. I mean think about it, it's quite possible. I also find it interesting that, assuming the translation is correct, that she said Kurisu works with SERN, and not for them. The difference between the two, while it may seem minor, can mean the difference between her simply being a spy for SERN or accidentally revealing some information to them while collaborating with them on something else, or having one of her other reports sent to them for whatever reason. As while SERN are these big bad evil people, by the "normal" folk in that world, SERN is a highly regarded scientific establishment, so it is not at all far-fetched to suggest that Kurisu has or does work with them to an extent.

TiYlER:
^Interesting what you said about "for" and "with". But the expression Kurisu had when Okabe mentioned it to her was, well, doubtful. I think that she really has nothing to do with them.... yet. That Part-Timer makes me feel like she knows something that hasn't happened yet. I don't know, maybe I'm over-speculating things.

That whole business with her father and in one time line leaving the city without a farewell to anyone, it strikes me as something that a time traveler (Most likely the memory thing) sent for some reason wouldn't do. I had a theory that she had been sent back from the future where Okabe the 'messiah' saved everyone from SERN...........ergh the thought of a future where he's worshiped as a messiah, I want to blow that future up ;D My own theory is hurting my feelings. Anyway, so she's sent back perhaps to aid the messiah and help him defeat SERN.

I considered this a strong possiblity, but when she left in that other timeline I was like, wtf? What kind of time traveler sent to aid the person who will beat SERN just takes off like that leaving him high and dry? And besides that she pretty fucking useless and no help at all if she was sent back to aid him. All she does is be hostile to red head. If she is a time traveler then she's the least helpful and least productive ever =/

TiYlER:
hmm, still, the two that unnerve me the most are Part-Timer and Shining Finger. I don't know what they are, or their purpose, but there is something odd about them.

Why does Shining Finger want the IBM 5100?
Why is the Shining Finger so interested in the Time Traveling?
Why did the Shining Finger take random pictures?
Why does the Shining Finger constantly text Okabe instead of talking to him?

Nikran:
I can make some logical guesses....

Simplist reason (And it's the one thing we know the IBM can be used for), use it to read that special data type that SERN uses.

Again simplist reason which ties into why she wants the IBM, like Obake, she has somehow gained acess to SERN's data on their servers and hence she'd need the IBM just like Okabe and co did.

1) a form of OCD 2) to further her agenda 3) no idea =/

I have a possible answer, bear with me, it's gonna be a bit of a long one.

With my new theory I have going I think it's because she perhaps suffers from something that effects her communication skills. Btw good chance im wrong here because this is a 'real world' answer and anime don't like the real world. But this fits with my theory however. Anyway, she probably suffers massive discomfort talking to people, even being surrounded by so many people is a strain on her. Texting Okabe wouldn't be as painful to her as openly talking would.

Now then, I think Shining Finger is alot like Lisbeth Salander (The girl with the dragon tatoo), so where looking at someone with communication difficulties, but also has incredible hacking skill. I think she has hacked SERN and now needs the IBM to read the data. I think in that other timeline she might have known that she would no longer have been forced into Okabes crew when her D-mail got sent off. This would suit her fine the way that she is (Dealing with others is painful to her) and I think she has no intention of joining forces. This makes her the calprit behind Okabes threats. Think about it, those images he recieved are from the SERN experiments, which she has access to.

To what her ultimate goal is I have no idea. But if I'm right about her having a condition like I described then the very fact shes always wandering the streets has great significance. If being around people was painful to her then she has a very series objective which she's not letting her pain get in the way of. Thats what u call focus and determination.

Theres one thing I have no idea about......what the heck was the real purpose behind the D-Mail she had sent out? There's no way it didn't serve some purpose in her agenda.
