that would be too cute, but serious DLC and expansions would be welcome, especially ones where Bethany is in :D

I don't know about DLC. To be honest I was quite annoyed with the DLC in DA:O. I bought a majority of them only to find out that the characters I got wouldn't stay with me (unless if I did something wrong). For example the giant stone man, I was able to keep the items meant for him but I couldn't keep him in my party after I finished the DLC. Annoyed me to no end. The other DLC were rather lacking and did nothing to enhance the original game or story for me. The expansion was interesting, but not the DLCs.
There's nothing here, because I'm too lazy to put something here.

I had no problems with keeping them (the additional chars) but after the latest patch most of the DLC broke and was unusable.

If anything, BioWare has no idea how to keep compatibility up :P

No not really, just that you need to follow instructions properly next time.

Well, I'm trying it. So far it sucks really bad compared to the first game. There actually isn't anything I like... They even uglified Anders, Isabela and Merrill... and it's tragic how ugly they made elves in general. They look like starved jews in concentration camps or something.

And what's with the damn dragon horns? Qunari have them now?! Flemyth has them now?!

And they made darkspawn and ogres look so stupid now...

The textures and general quality is piss poor too. What asshole's idea was it to make people without DX11 cards not get decent textures?

And the character creation really downgraded too...

I mean, it's like the whole damn game downgraded. It's like this is Mass Effect and DA1 was Mass Effect 2, in terms of video/control/customization. I mean, it's really like a major downgrade... I don't know wtf they were thinking.

I will give them one thing though... they did make better female bodies this time, and decent enough lingerie. Other than that, I can't say there's much I really like. Just seems like a big downgrade, major letdown... Anyways, I'll play through it once or twice just cause I loved the original one, but I'm really disappointed.

Flemeth can have anything she wants in human disguise.

The DX11 matter: If rumours are true people have to wait a month for the DX11 patch (which is stupid in the first place nonetheless)

I knew nothing of the outside world. I was just a frog in a well.

Well, I did get the high resolution texture pack which seems to have improved the textures. The shadows still really suck ass though... ruins everything.

In reality, I think the game is good (not Biowares absolute BEST, but that's why they have the best working on TOR). The game is still worth it and is basically more Dragon Age than you can shake a stick at. Combat is nice and fluid... playing at a healer mage right now, My team will probably be tank, off tank/dps, blood mage, and then me as the healer!

Is it just me or is the Arishok cheating?
I nailed him down to a quarter of his life remaining and he pulls out his juice and back to 80% health.
Once he pulled out his fourth I said "screw this" and loaded an earlier save, rather have my team fighting every other Qunari rather than duel.

Arishok has potions, just like most better level enemies, he'll run out or something at a certain point. Or you could just not let him drink them. Freeze, stun, knockdown while he tries etc.

Or you could just change the setting to Casual and he won't use potions.

I had to keep swapping to blood magic cause running out of mana was the biggest issue for me lol... Just use up all my mana then blood magic till I have low hp then turn it off and heal myself, aaand lyrium.

I just beat the game on my mage by the way. T'was my first playthrough.

As for Bethany...

Winter's grasp, firestorm on his frozen ass, run around lalalalalala. Rinse, repeat.

Never run out of mana, I had stocked my mage full with regen arties though.

Because we can!

I just beat DA2 over the weekend (Fri,Sat & Sun home sick....wasn't fun, so I needed something to do, and well WoW is getting boreing...again).  But I liked it a lot more than DA:O.  I'm normally dislike/hate  "Western" RGP's - more of a JRPG fan(FF and such).  But being home sick I decided to give it a try.
I surprised myself, and had a lot of fun with DA2, although didn't always make the best choices - seemed to get everyone I liked killed some how, it was rather depressing.
I had given DA:O a try after it came out, and I gave up on it after about 3hrs of game play. I just felt lost and confused and that there wasn't enough of a overall story to grab me and pull me in.  I felt over loaded with options & that I had no real direction or purpose.
While DA2 had A LOT of options and side quest, and at times I got very distracted, I never felt lost and confused with no real direction like I did in DA:O.
I'm even thinking of  re-playing it, with a different class (did a DW rogue before maybe a sword & shield warrior so I can control the battles a bit more).  And this time see if I can keep more of the people I like alive.
So I think BioWare did a good job with DA2, it got me to play a game in a sub-genre I normally don't like.

proper tactics don't get your people dead, default tactics don't have potions in them, try again with advanced tactics, it will save your pixels life :)

also proper attributes will save plenty occasional battles, if you just used many skills then it had to be hard, limit them to at best 2 sources and you should rule the battlefield.

It wasn't in the battles that everyone died, but the store events.  Thats the problem I had.
